Coronavirus Positive

hey all,.

i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

Is it just me ? or something just doesn`t seem right about this whole thing ? Doesn`t it seem way out of character for S& R to just ignore all of the concerns that have been posted about his health ? And worrying about him and for him to just ignore all of this ? And not make any comments about it ?

Geeez , snare if your out there ,please get in contact with us to know your OK ,so we can all relax.

MMM ,i find it very odd that he was supposed to have posted 7 days ago and not made any comment about all of the people on this forum that have been concerned about his health ?

And he hasn`t addressed any of these concerns we have about him ?

Something just does not add up .

Am I right in contrasting this case with the case of 29 , 54 ,of the Jehovah`s Witnesses at the Australian Royal Commission into child sexual abuse when the Australian Governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson took the stand ? and gave his testimony under oath ?

And also the Jehovah`s Witness lawyer Vin Toole who also gave his testimony under oath ?

A few Elders also gave their testimony along with the above others either swearing on the Bible ,which was a no , no , when I was an active JW whereas some others just gave an affirmative to tell the truth.Matt. 5:37

And that surprised me .

Both G.Jackson and Vin Toole gave misleading answers to questions that were given them , and the Elders in my mind gave a pitiful response to questions that were asked of them .

One in particular that I felt was just waiting for the Holy Spirit to put words in his mouth and they just never came .

I wish I was cluey enough to download these clips ,but I`m afraid I`m not .

I hope the newbies especially can see these for themselves ,and make up there own minds .

have you heard anything ?

i was a witness from grade school ( 1976) until 2007. i seem to remember an important aspect that was always talked about at the hall as being a fact.they would say that "the rocks themselves would cry out" if the public preaching work was to stop,,,,, all i've seen and heard these past few months are the witnesses complaining about the witnessing work coming to a halt.but i've not heard one rock crying .. .

Actually its God that has caused all of the suffering humans face when you stop and think about it.

As for the rocks crying out ,their interpretation of that scripture is archaeology finds about the Bible or some such thing.

What do you make of this recent article regarding the United Nations stance towards overriding religions of the world on certain matters?

first of all, this is my first post here on the forums even though i have been registered now for some time.

i have been faded from the jehovah's witness religion for many years now, but only recently within the past year or so gotten quite serious about it - crisis of conscience by ramond franz really kicked things off for me personally.. anyway, my wife, parents, step-sister and her husband and my half-brother are all still active jw's, so i am still exposed to them, and this is also the reason why i'm still "faded".

frankly i'd probably just as soon disassociate myself without the threat of being shunned.

I think their are about 1.8 Billion Muslims in the world ,and around 1.2 Billion Catholics and probably a similar number of Protestants and that doesn`t include all of the other religions scattered throughout the earth.

The UN is not and never has been or ever will be a world power .

Their is even talk it should be disbanded because it is in some ways so ineffective ?

And as AA points out its in favor of religious freedoms for all .

Welcome to the forum .

Firstly I think the UN is really just a paper tiger that nations use to either support or veto any proposal that is put forth according to their own agenda.

Secondly This article is just one persons opinion and interpretation of what the intentions of the UN would like to see happen but there is no way on earth they could enforce any of what she suggests.

But that`s just my opinion.

video conferencing systems are being installed in kingdumb halls.

this is being charged to the congregations.. the ability to video conference, zoom, directly from the halls will now be the thing.. i believe that the current situation has given the wts an idea.. if there are two kingdom halls in an area, then one can be sold.. congregations will split the use, half using the hall one week and zooming the next and visa versa..

alanv ,I don`t think they need to build new KH`s ,hasn`t "quick build" died the death now ? I truly think they are gradually going the way Televangelists have gone decades b4 them .and think its a blessing from Jehovah that they have done so.?

Selling KH`s and Branch Offices around the world will give them huge amounts of $$$$$ to tide them over while they, the G.B. are still alive . And I don`t think they care too much what happens after that .

Are Ex-JW's Suffering From Burn Out?

the reason that i ask is, in the two years on this forum and you tube, i've seen ex-jw's either drop off entirely or make fewer and fewer videos.

i know the emotional toll can be high.

is that the sole reason, or is it cost (video) or do you think it's external pressure (legal or family)?

Are we on the same forum ? I have no indications whatsoever that what you are saying/indicating has any element of truth in it ?

Would you care to elaborate on any of these claims you have made ? its pretty serious you know to make such claims with no evidence to back up what you are inferring.?

even better how many in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.. i'm asking this to get a picture of the total real estate owning of the jw and how this become to the money-cow in these days..

Welcome to this forum,an interesting first post .I think it could be interesting not only in the sell off of KH`s and the mergings taking place ,but also the sell off and mergings of Branch Officers around the world that have taken place these last few years .?

Can anybody help with this ?
