Baffling comment by my JW parents about non-witness funeral
by joyfulfader inmy parents attended the funeral of an elderly family member today.
being out of state i was unable to attend.
i asked how it went and was told that "worldly" people don't care enough about anyone to mention anything personal.

It is a sad but telling indictment on this cult that funerals are reduced to mere infomercials for religious indoctrination.
Instead of being occasions to celebrate and remember a life and consol and comfort the bereaved, JW funerals are nothing more than a cold, empty and meaningless marketing exercise.

It's not just bats, mozzies, leeches, fleas etc that are disrespectin' Jahoover.
I have watched a lot of wildlife docos and I have never seen a lion properly bleeding out a gazelle before it eats it. It's just chase, kill, munch. No draining of the blood and covering over the blood with dirt like you are supposed to do if you want to keep the big old jealous creator chappy happy.
All those god-dissing carnivores will not be available for the traumatised JW survivors to pat after Armageddon - because they will be made to pay and will be wiped out along with all the other enemies of god.

I wish I had access to fluoridated water when I was a little tacker. I have spent thousands of dollars fixing and repairing my teeth.
Despite all the huffing and puffing from the anti-fluoro crowd, fluoridation is a cost effective method of delivering dental healthcare on a community wide scale. It carries a very low risk for other health effects. The dosage rates are very low.

by karter inpeter garrett is definitly a can short of a slab.. the australian goverment and the new south wales forestery service were presenting an alternative for the nsw sheep farmers for controling the dingo population.. it seem years of the sheep farmers useing tryed and true methods like shooting them and traping them,peter garrett environmental minister and nsw forstery service and other tree hugging greenies had a more humane solution.. they proposed the animals be captured alive and the males be castrated and wait for it let loose again.. therefore the dingo population woul'd be controled.. this was actually proposed to the nsw sheep farmers association.. finally one of the old boys at the back stood up and tiped his hat back and said "son i don't think you understand our problem,the dingos aren't fucking our sheep they are eating them!!!!".
there was a roar of laughter as garrett,nsw forestery service and green tree huggers leaft the room "very sheepishly".
you couldn't make this up.. .

Your story has been around at least since 2002 and originated in the USA, but with coyotes as the pest animal.
That's a long time before Pete Garrett even entered the parliament.
Your breathless story of Garrett's incompetence is nothing more than an urban myth.

New book on the life of Jesus
by Dagney ina new book "zealot - life and times of jesus of nazareth" by reza aslan.
he converted to christianity from islam at 15 and journey to study the life of the jesus, and the vast disparity between the historical jesus and the evangelical jesus.. a couple of the points he touches on in the interview (link below):.
flaws in the nativity story...one being the census had nothing to do with galilee and there is no documentation of such.
