  in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

  I'm sure I heard that a high up in watchtower land described the gb as 'a concept' to some authority not too long ago - just can't recall the exact details, can you?

  Half hearted JWs compared to past generations

  is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

  when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

  Fully Colored Version of My Book of Bible Stories

  does anybody know which edition of "my book of bible stories" had the fully colored pages?

  i'm pretty sure it came out late in the book's life, but i'd like someone to verify which one it is..

  I remember being in Spain the the 1980's and somebody had (I think) an english My Book Of Bible Stories. (or was it the red You Can Live Forever In Paradise book?)

  Anyway, the Spanish witnesses were amazed, they had never seen the book before. Not sure when those books were published in Spain??

  i got an email notice today on this excellent letter of resignation from a german family that is trending on reddit.

  i thought i would share it here if anyone is so inclined to write one.

  for those with pimi jw family and jw business connections, it may not be wise to share such a letter, but i imagine it must be very freeing to send such a letter.

  A good letter.

  It's funny. It seems to me there's far more proof that the jw's do not have 'the truth' than any proof that they do!

  All this logical evidence is lost of course of those who have devoted their lives to the watchtower's ever changing teachings.

  So easy for them to just dismiss you and label you 'an apostate' than take the time to check out the reality that their religion is a cult and a sham..

  Questions about WT illustrations

  when i was a kid....i used to look at the wt illustrations of paradise conditions and would day dream about life in the new system....i later used this same technique (shame on me) to brain wash bible students.

  however...as i grew up lol (apparently!

  ) the illustrations changed....and became more modern.

  Why bother attending?

  A few short years will no doubt make all the 'exciting things learned' at this convention wildly out of date!
