Things change.
Years ago, when I was still in I was too frit to browse this site.
Then I browsed and felt guilty.
Next I browsed when I was on the way out. After completely fading I joined and started posting.

i joined about 5 days ago and have some observations/questions.. does anyone notice the profile update doesn't seem to work?
i like reading some of the profiles, most accounts don't have them and maybe that's because the tool doesn't function anymore?.
also i've been noticing a diverse number of subjects which made me think of the categories of people on here.
🤣🤣🤣

happy new year!
time to give us your vote for lloyd's fall from grace this month.. december 6th he was at 406. as of today, january 3rd, he's at 388. that is exactly, on the dot, where he was january 3rd of last year!
he's lost all gains from his begging videos and reminders and tin cup waving and etc.. so, fire up the shrooms and let us know where you think flab boy will be on february 2nd.
Would love to hear from The Magnificent 27 to hear why they are ditching the mushroom agnostic..
Sadly someone got there a few years before Lard Lloyd:
I’m becoming agnostic after taking mushrooms after being a die hard catholic
It’s odd. It’s such a surreal feeling that everything you thought was right, isn’t necessarily bullshit, but it’s skewed in so many ways to help people achieve their own vendettas. My parents found out I smoke weed and I have no idea how they’d react if they found out I love tripping. After taking eighths of mushrooms a bunch of times, I truly believe that something is out there, but god damn it I have no idea what it is. I’m not scared, I just want to trip more.

Good luck!
I thought my 368 prediction was a bit too optimistic until today!
yes, waiting on jehovah for him to handle a problem/ doctrine etc.. when did the jw's first start saying that?
they've been saying it as long as i can remember.. what scriptures do they trot out to back that teaching up?
?.
Wait on Jehovah
There are many WT articles which exhort JWs to ‘wait on Jehovah’, meaning that they shouldn’t rush ahead or be impatient. The 1999 Oct WT has such an article where it states that;
“There is, therefore, no reason for us to become overly concerned, or even agitated, that certain matters are not fully explained. Rather, we can be confident that if we patiently wait on Jehovah, he will provide, through the faithful slave, what is needed “at the proper time.””46
Effectively this is saying that waiting on ‘the faithful slave’ (the GB) is the same as waiting on Jehovah. The article says that the ‘slave’ will provide what is needed at the ‘proper time’ yet, by their own admission, what they provide cannot be guaranteed to be at the ‘proper time’ as it is needs regular updating.

👍👍
the book reasoning from the scriptures was released in the 1980's, and it was used at virtually every meeting for service, every service meeting, and every theocratic ministry school meeting thereafter.
many jws had copies bound together with their bibles.
it was huge in jw land back then.. at that time, with the reasoning book, jws were trained to keep conversations going in spite of objections, to almost stick their feet in people's doors to keep conversations going, to defend "the truth," to argue doctrine, etc.. compare the situation today with that of the 80's.
The WTS has a history of rewriting their publications to conform with current teachings.
Superb!
My jw entrenched family hates old jw literature almost as much as they hate apostates!
eric wilson's video is worth a view.. https://youtu.be/iil4fryuczk?si=f566n0tdqgpqc2ok.
That's what I was thinking.
All these 'loving adjustments' done to remove the borg from any legal or financial accountability when any publisher goes rogue.
It seems like the picture the gb want to paint to the authorities is that the ministry, giving blood, etc etc is all something publishers just do voluntarily. It's nothing to do with them at bethel!

I compared the reasoning book with their latest info in the Insight online:
Last Days
Definition: The Bible uses the expression “last days” to refer to the concluding time period leading up to a divinely appointed execution that marks the end of a system of things. The Jewish system with its worship built around the temple in Jerusalem experienced its last days from 33 to 70 C.E. What occurred then was pictorial of what would be experienced in a greatly intensified way and on a global scale at a time when all nations would be facing the execution of judgment decreed by God. The present wicked system of things, which extends worldwide, entered its last days in 1914, and some of the generation alive then will also be on hand to witness its complete end in the “great tribulation.”
Later that same day, Jesus again used practically the same words, saying: “Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.” (Mt 24:34) In this instance, Jesus was answering a question regarding the desolation of Jerusalem and its temple as well as regarding the sign of his presence and of the conclusion of the system of things. So his comment about “this generation” logically had an application down to 70 C.E. However, he was also using the word “generation” with reference to humans whose lives would in some way be associated with the foretold events during his presence.—Mt 24.

I notice that the jw "Scriptures for Christian Living" doesn't even have a section on The Last Days or The Kingdom..
