  this is going to break the hearts of a lot of uber-jw's!

  reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

  If I was still a regular pioneer getting 90 hours a month in and I heard this I would have thought 'What is the bloody point of flogging my guts out when the rank and file can report miniscule ministry.'🤷‍♀️

  that's when the org holds its annual meeting.

  not that many years back, it used to be hyped beforehand with favored ones getting special invites.

  let's get the fun started and put in our votes for how far down the pumpkin patch lord of the fries will fall in november.. for those keeping score, last month he started at 457 patrons, did some begging and managed to bump those numbers up to 478, but as of this writing he's down to 439.. so, how well do you think the grift will continue this month?

  let us know where you think he'll be on november 2. lucky number 420?

  a member of the roman occupying forces could command a local to carry their pack for a mile.

  Cult or High Control Group?

  i see this phrase a lot: "the indication of a cult is what happens when you leave.

  " i'm not sure where that originated, but it is a faulty categorization.

  "cult" is almost always used in a derogatory way.

  My elderly parents do not understand anything about blood fractions or the blood policy, yet they are both willing to die to 'make a stand for Jehovah' by refusing blood if necessary.

  When I try to discuss it with them patiently and logically they begin to instantly snarl and become aggressive and enraged with me.

  That's cult-like enough for me.
