this seems to be a favorite topic to bring up to any witnesses who post on any website where there are any opposers, either here or topix or anywhere.. so, here is the one and only place i will be discussing it.
who can prove that witnesses are specifically told not to post on websites about them?.

And they paint the apostates as the bad guys?..It reminds me of book burnings and witch hunts..

her mom (widowed) is now back in and is trying to get her 35 year old daughter now staying with her to come in by telling her how she wil lbe destroyed if she doesn't..same old love.. snoozy.

At first I thought she was doing it in defense of the JW's but now I am wondering if she is throwing this stuff at her JW mom?
She mentioned a story I posted a while back about a JW in Russia that killed..that was a good sign..

I have posted a link to JW facts on my page and two samples from thier magazines, one an Awake quote on how you shouldn't let religion come between family members , comparing it to shunning and the other a quote from a 1969 Awake about how the young people then would never grow old..( oops, they did.).

Like it is some big deal because they don't..(well at least not so much physically ..but they top the charts on mentally)..I sent a question mark back indicating I needed more info..we shall see what she says..

growing up a witness, and having black friends and and relatives.
i was kind of in the dark as to what being a raciest was really based on.
so as i get older and think about it more, i thought it might be an interesting question to discuss what you think makes a person raciest and how they base this thinking.. i am going to use the african american racism in this example, as i think that more then any other group.
Do they base this on the same thinking of the ignorant whites of history, who used ideas from the Bible to prove this odd thinking

When I was a child they still had the separate entrances in buildings for "Negros".
They were only allowed to swim on certain days in the public pools..
They were only allowed to sit in the very back of a bus
They had to give the whites the right of way..and call them sir and mam..
Being raised that way made it hard to later accept the "equal" part..old habits die hard.
Course we were also taught to cross the street if we saw a "Jew" coming our way. They, like gypsies" were known to steal babies and put curses on people, plus they were so dirty!
Ennie meenie meinie moe had different words back then..
Thankfully someday it will all be gone, but for now it still lingers in the minds of some..sadly.
I liken it to the same brainwashing that the JW's did to many and still do today..hopefully someday that will be gone also..

My brother, a devout bible reader, has me looking up stuff on the computer for him as he doesn't have one.
My latest project is looking up info on the Cannonization of the King James Bible...I was quite surprised to find out that the much talked about book of Revelation almost didn't even make it into the bible!
Interesting to see how they "voted" on which books were allowed into the bible..makes you really wonder about all this "Spirit guided" stuff..
