Rory good point. I guess lying is ok for them but my mom still does not talk to me cause well I am not a member of a book publishing corporation. I am sure that is in the bible. I live a wholesome life with my wife and son don't smoke. I read the bible, work hard provide for my family treat people with respect and oh by the way I am not a volunteer (which is actualy what there are) for a book publishing corporation so I am evil.

the latest evidence is the january 2013 watchtower which rolls out hugely predictable statements about not doing anything to upset one's (jw) family by, for example, being in email contact with a disfellowshipped witness.
it's hard to stifle the yawns.

I disagree. Can you imagine anyone telling another person not to talk to your child even by email just because they dont attend the same church???????????? This is total control. Watch a bunch of murder rape etc. etc. on TV but dont talk to your child. Steve2 this is the worst form of control becuase they know we are the ones that can help them in there learning the TTATT and this is an amazing article in the year 2012. My mother has nothing to due with me or her grandson. You wold think if they have such a LIFE SAVING MESSAGE she would be calling him every day to save his soul. Evil dirty cult they watch TV drink like fishes and an email bewteen me and mom is forbiden.

The elders are cowards as are most jws I have dealt with. I applaud what you have done but I gave it all to them every time and when they came for my wife after me with a certified letter to meet with them I called the police and had a restraining order put against them. I had no fear for they were the ones that created me. As for my wife alas she was still DF fo doing absolutly nothing but not showing up. I have no compassion for them just as they had non for me.

newbie here - i need advice

i'm an inactive jw, been in and out sporidically these past few years, but its only these recent months after reading crisis of conscience and christian freedom that i think i will never go back there again.. the reason i've been inactive primarily is because i have issues regarding masturbation and porn.
my conscience cannot allow to continue preaching while i continously being overcome by these habits myself.

Well, I talked with two active JWs about the latest understanding of the F&DS.
by Theocratic Sedition ini know a brother who went to the most recent annual meeting.
older brother, non-annointed, elder, wife a pioneer, and overall a pretty good dude.
he let me take a peak at the new awake dropping in 2013, which by the way i have to give credit where it's due as i like the new 16 page format.
