I had another Weird Dream
by U.2.K. inalright now this dream was krazy .
i was walking somewhere(cant remember) and this guy hit me over the head with this shotgun, i was knocked out and he tied me up, and i woke up in this car in the backseat, and it was a bomb in the car.
the bomb had 7-9 min left, and get this at first i was so scared, the dream seem so real, but for some reason i could'nt wake up or move.. .

just stuffed up a long post and lost it all....
so i won't try to repeat all i said, as i got another meeting to go into about 30 minutes...
just some memories that came back...
i think i know that bit of country where you are living... dad often used to take me over there to see a friend of his... lived on a flat swampy section near a river...seem to recall it being called nelson's bay or river..but maybe the name has changed... say, all the roads where dirt in those days and corrugated... shake you up driving over them
got my first dog off this old guy -- a big, black, tough, raucous cattle dog.. so tough that when an uncle ran over him in a 'T' model ford, he just got up and kept running..
he ussed to break his chain and run off-- then locals would be phoning my dad all night ---" your son's dog has been chasing our cows, and they have gone off the milk... what are you going to do about it ?''
my dad got so angry one day, he was going to shoot the dog, loaded his shotgun and went out to find the dog... i let him off his chain, and he started running up and down the next door paddock, me in front of him -- or trying to be, bawling at the top of my voice and yelling out ..."shoot me, shoot me and not the dog"
the dog loved it!!! not much in the world as exciting to a dog as running and yelling...!!!!
i came home from school one day soon after, to find the dog gone... dad swore he had taken him up into the bush to live with some sleeper cutters..!!! i tried to get him to take me up to see him... but, he never would..
dad got me a pomeranian for my next dog!!!! he got to like chasing cars and came to a bad end!!!!
dog's eh??????

and on the north coast at port macquarie, have some experience in whitie attitudes to original inhabitants.. and some experience with your comment about aboriginal problems.
i was never allowed to play with aboriginal kids...

David Marr is a veri fine australian writer. He has written a book titled. "The High Price of Heaven" in which he chronicles the campaigns by churches to force everyone to conform to their moral code whether you want to or not. I don't know whether it is available where you live, but it's worth a read, especially the last chapter, wehich he calls Shame and Forgiveness.
Quoting - marr says... " At puberty the churches reach out to us with their ministry of shame. The timing is everything. These years of doubt and confusion are the best chance they'll ever have of winning us over. "
the wonderful thing in today's world is that more and more people are escaping from their (including the jws )efforts to control us..

the young woman found accommodation in a kind of rooming house.
there, she came into contact with an older man - not a witness, of course.

but, the key thing is what is happening NOW and why...
that's why i told that experience now..!!
even paid (and professional)PR spin merchants would these days, counsel looking at the affect on the "marketplace" of whatever action was contemplated.
but the WTS and the GB, at whatever coinciding level is looking at their problems, has gotten themselves into such a mindset, that (and this is my opinion) all they see is 'defending & legally establishing" the good news the name of an old booklet - that set out ways to do that.
they are NOT thinking, just reacting.
they are not considering people, they are only considering RULES[/b}.the [b] RULES
have been broken --- so take action..it's so dumb, but so jehovoish, so predictable.!!!!!!!!

the young woman found accommodation in a kind of rooming house. there, she came into contact with an older man - not a witness, of course.(who you could also call a loser).. i guess he saw the opportunity for some sexual satisfaction, and set out to 'make it' with this girl.
since she had never previously had anyone pay any personal attention to her, i also conclude that he found it easy to get her attention. tho from her story, a bit harder to make the final step.
but perserverance paid off for him, and he finally got her into bed. and the girl got an attack of conscience that brought confession to the elders.
I was the new p o, at the start of the then 'new' elder arrangement. we set up a j c. heard her story and dfed her.
the basic reason being that it was considered that she 'had' sought the attention of a 'worldy' man.
this decision has ever since weighed on my conscience. a few months later i discussed it with the CO during his visit... bob hadlow was usually a fairly practical guy ( he later died during from a fall while building himself a new home -- materialsim, some said!!!) -- but after consideration, also felt the girl deserved df-ing.
well.. many years later, b4 i was dfed myself, i did take the opportunity to say to this woman, the simple words 'i'm sorry', but she was so filled with the jw philosophy that i do not think she appreciated what i was saying.
NOW HERE'S THE KEY POINT:
nowhere are jcs. encouraged to take HUMAN problems into consideration. god's mercy is talked about, but seldom is an application made that takes that supposed quality of mercy into consideration.
we should have looked at that girl's whole life and the problems she would face, rather than the simple black/white question of having sex with a man out of loneliness and frustration. this girl could probably only look forward to a life of loneliness - she certainly wasn't going to get one of the high flyers of the congregation.
I do not believe that the WTS will learn to act with compassion and mercy..
they will act with legalism and steeliness..
the stupidity will continue.... if they had sense they would never consider taking action against bill bowen.
for the same reasons we dfed, that poor young woman -- we were more concerned about the 'law' rather than mercy.
we were more concerned about formalism than compassion and the lives of the 'poorer', less prominent ones in the congregation and the earth.
from all that i have read here in the last 3 months - it is even worse now inside the congregations.....
POOR, POOR PEOPLE, THESE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
*** many argue with me about this expression. they like to feel that god forgets no-one... but the sad and hard facts are that some people are born without any of the physical, personality or intellectual qualities that make as attractive to others.

there are 2 or 3 of these funny little conversations about god wanting to destroy someone or the other and some human asking him to desist...
they highlight the lack of logic evident through the bible...
of course, what god needed b4 he set out to write the bible was a crash course at some evening college, in how to write clearly...
would have made it a lot easier to know what the hell he wanted, eh???
