Well they have to use the internet. It only makes sense. I am sure it was a risk vs reward consideration. They will deal with the inevitable zealous JW's that strike out onto the no-no sites. Some will immediately find verification of the mentally diseased. Some will maybe see something that rings true. Some might try their hand at apologetics. Either way, they are welcome!
Reward - Cost abatement. How much less expensive could this be for them? VERY! Also, it would be fairly impressive to have some people at your door with an i pad of video. it will be the 21 century version of JW's going to doors with a phonograph. I'll BET you that soon there will be a "presentation video", that can just be played. Total control of the message ina slick format. It is the right way to go.
Risk - They know people will stumble on other sites. I think you will see this secifically addressed in 2013 most likely more than once. Warning people not to do it, reminding them of the dangers of who they would call apostates.
HERE IS THE TRICK. Will the ex community take advantage of this and put forth a concerted effort to properly convey to JW's reasonable doubt? Or will they shoot themselves in the foot and prove their already held stereotypes correct?
I say, everyone embed jw.org in their sites and tag lines ASAP.

Westboro a hate group, so are jw's!
by carla inwhile i agree 100% that westboro is a hate group aren't the jw's also hate group?
how many times in wt literature do they come right and say 'we must hate...'?
i understand they are a bit more politically correct these days but the thought and actions are still there.. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/265k-sign-petition-label-westboro-hate-group-article-1.1228100.

They have defined hate as "love to a lesser degree". Its a mess but I wouldn't put them on the same level. Not too far down the chain, but not on the same level. Just my thoughts of course.

Depends on whether or not you believe in scripture or the sacredness of marriage. If you don't than of course it is.

According to this years numbers, its 6,507 hours for each person newly pabtized person. That is 271 full 24 hour days of preaching, or about 14 years of putting in the national average.
That desn't even consider how many of the newly baptized were just children of JW's, so they were not found in the ministry. We just don't know what those numbers are. If that accounts for even just half of the number baptized, (I believe it is more than that), then we now have an effective 30 years of preaching at the national average to get one person baptized.
Jeez.

Londo, sorry man I didn't refresh my screen yet. Yes that was the one I was thinking of. Although in cntext it seems to refer to the "lawless one" IE: Satan, and those that prefer unrighteousness.
So it doesn't quite make the point I think I was originally looking at.

Nevermind. Its 2 Thess 2:11. Any thoughts on this verse from the ex-JW perspective?

In Your opinion, what percentage of the ACTIVE 7 Million Jehovah's witnesses will obey prohibitions on blood transfusions?
by Balaamsass ini have heard on this site, and others that some doctors say many "jehovahs witnesses" actually accept blood transfusions for themselves and family when the chip are down.
i have been told by hospital laison members (relatives) that the reason for the "bedside elder vigil" is actually to keep patients and family members from "weakening".
now i know a lot of people identify themselves as jws on old medical charts and such (according to pew research and personal experiance...so i am simply interested in opinions on active current jws.. my personal feeling is 2/3 to 75% would allow themselves or family members to die.

We don't really have tp speculate on this one. Its just over 10% according to most hospital studies on the matter.

If JW Missionaries Were Abducted By Terrorists How Would The Watchtower Society Handle It?
by minimus inwhat do you think?.

Hmmm. Is this a real question? They would inform the authorities and pray. The military, gov, or police would probably say ransom payments don't work. If they did however and money was the target, I think the society would pay.
Regardless, most kidnappings of JW's have nothing to do with money.
