i have been out a good 10+ years and until recently didnt pay much attention to what the jehovahs are up to.. why have they taken this turn with the bunker videos and making all the brainwashed people like my parents pack a go bag.

now let me just clarify.

im a military man i believe everyone should have an element of preparedness canned goods,bottled water and a bug out bag is a great addition ( ill stop waffling on about that now).. but what concerns me is the fact they are advising elderly people to bug out.

@freddo. Sounds like he has his head screwed on!.this advice is insane! Bugging out is only advisable if your fit and have a solid plan!

Why do they even need go bags if they have jehovahs help.

i know jws and some other groups use this as proof of gods existence.

i'm still looking into the debate but was wondering what others thought.

hi folks, i’m attending the london protest at the excel convention in august and am making some banners.

i’m aiming for short but memorable sentences that will stick in jws minds and also make them laugh a little at their own organisation.. my best so far is ‘this is not a protest, it’s an overlapping protest’.

has anyone got any ideas for more?.

Why are JDubs scared to death of apostate websites?

when i was an elder back in the 1970's i loved to debate and challenge ministers, preachers, and holy rollers.

now you can be a loyal jdub fully indoctrinated for 30 years but just take a peek at an apostate website and you are doomed.

yes, satan now has you by the gonads and all of the years of being at the meetings, all of the family worship nights, all of the conventions, and all of the personal study just go up in a cloud of smoke.

Exercise and meditation. (An unknowing JW compromise?)

as i was participating in some very strenuous aerobic exercise recently, it occurred to me that some of what i experience during exercise has some similarities to what i've been experiencing during meditation.

the similarity is being very aware of my body during exercise.

the difference is that in the meditation i've been trying, after becoming aware of my body, i then move away from awareness of my body.

as my wife left for fs this morning (aka gossip and coffee time with her friends) she mentioned to me that one of the parts in the clam meeting this week was:.

to remind the 'faithful' that, "we are involved in a life saving work!".

so i just calmly mentioned to her that if he really wanted to, jehoober could save thousands of lives every day just by controlling the weather or providing just clean water or just a just a few loaves and fishes!.

But what concerns me is the fact they are advising elderly people to bug out. I can tell you now, there needs to be a better plan then a bag with a tin foil blanket and a book of elders phone numbers in it to evacuate less abled people to some safe house in another elders basement. The stupidty boils my blood.
