Min,
Don’t confuse questions and refuted opinions as just that all the time. Some are just made to be making them. Some are made to bring attention to oneself. I have seen in threads where E offers to help people and is a real person and that is very admirable. When it comes to legal matters he comes off as the ultimate authority. He seems to refute for the sake of refuting. I question his agenda. Is it to really bring out things some of us my have not thought of or is it to flash his law degree? What does he hope to accomplish and who is it really helping? Is there any real benefit made with his comments or does it just bring attention to himself and self validation that he is a smart guy?
As far as me being a bit smug at times, I can see where people may think that. Once they get to know me they understand why and what it really is.
As far as you loving me, for get it. I have told you a thousand times I am not gay and I will not sleep with you so stop telling me about your feelings for me!
Love ya back buddy.

Min,
This is not a black and white in your face issue. It is not something that is going to make the average close-minded brain dead JW start buying lottery tickets in hopes of starting an IRA for his retirement. This is a great step in a long process of exposing the watchtower printing company for what it really is.
If you are looking for some kind of instant gratification, mind-blowing revelation or mystical handwriting on the wall, this isn’t it. Watchtower lies and misrepresentation has been exposed and is being shown to the average John Doe through the media. Plus, and even more important, it is being exposed to the legal system who the watchtower has been using and hiding behind for years.
Don’t expect any “holy shit we made a boo boo” major policy changes from the printing company because of this. They have had over 150 years of experience covering their asses and for the first time this little bit of news will be a major eye opener to help in stopping that. They can pull the wool over the eyes of their own sheep but a Supreme Court judge won’t be that stupid. He is not concerned about padding his service time slip to impress anybody.
This is just the beginning of something that will be a long process but will have overwhelming and long-term consequences. Quit thinking about this like a JW would. Think outside of your socks. I know you are way smarter than this.

I’m sure you’re a nice guy but I object to your arrogant “I’m a lawyer so I know it all” attitude. Barbara first posted this information in a manner to peek ultimate interest for maximum effectiveness when it came out and you had to act like you are the boards official legal mouth piece as if you and you alone will tell us if it is noteworthy or not. Not all here are impressed with someone who has a law degree.
You seemed to be more interested in letting us all know you were a lawyer than seeing the significance of the upcoming information. Maybe a few of the “just out” exJW see that as impressive but the majority of us did not. Then I saw your website where you list all your levels of expertise in all the non related feilds. Then I laughed and understood. I pictured you selling fake Rolexes on the street corner as well.
I am not interested in insults and put-downs. I just wanted you to understand that this information was more important than your ego and the work that went into it was more noteworthy then your personal opinion. Just because you may have a law degree doesn’t make you intelligent nor does it make your opinion hold much water. Believe it or not but in any given court case there are usually two lawyers with completely contrasting opinions and one of them is usually completely full of shit. Being full of shit is their job and you do seem to have mastered that aspect of law.
Lawyers are a dime a dozen and so are some of their opinions. I have hired enough of them over the years to completely understand that. The threads about the information were muddied with you pseudo legal mumbo-jumbo and I found it distracting as you (How did outoftheorg put it “your continuous self promoting”) tried to draw the attention away from the information and on yourself.
Just a suggestion business wise. If you want people to take what you do seriously as a lawyer don’t offer web services and graphic design on you website when you want them to take your legal expertise seriously. If I want a lawyer I’ll hire a lawyer. Same goes for a web or graphic designer. Now, lets see if this thread can stay on topic and not turn into another “Eduardo knows law stuff” thread again.

Randy's work, Lee Elder's work, Bill Bowen's work, even Kent's work have all raised many more areas of questioning and legitimate legal concerns than the JCS article ever will.
Did you ever design that web site for the two hot chick models who you said asked you to do it for them or are you playing lawyer this week again?

Hawkaw,
I wouldn’t concern yourself about Eduardo’s opinion about anything. The only one who is impressed with his limited expertise or knowledge about anything is himself.
Alan called me the other night about this being written and sent out on the AP wire. He also told me the reporter who wrote this asked JR Brown for his comments about Ms. Louderback-Wood’s Journal of church and state, JR Brown did not answer him back or return his calls (big surprise). This has put the JW leadership in quite the predicament. If they deny any of what was said they are legally liable to commit perjury when this is brought up in a court trial. If they admit to any of it, well we all know what will happen. Not much chance of that, they never admit to anything.
For those who saw the importance of this when Barbara posted it and realized it would have a significant impact within time, this is just the beginning. For those who belittled what Barbra posted or thought it “a non issue” might want to try and open their minds beyond the simplistic mental box of instant gratification and try thinking instead of speaking.
They get caught in this one conundrum in the first court case and any time they show up in any court case after the first one their true colors will be painted on every courthouse walls with very broad strokes.
What I am waiting for is one of their rank and file elders to get sued over this issue and some of the hospital liaison puppets to loose everything he owns because of it. It will be the watchtowers version of the Nuremburg trials. The R&F elders will not be able to claim they are innocent because they were just following orders. Once that happens and the story gets out, the watchtower leaders will loose their middle man management power of having janitors and carpet layers run their followers lives. The link in their chain of command will break in the middle and those poor uneducated elders will be used as scapegoats. The smart ones will either step down and take less responsibility in the congregation or have an epiphany of self-realization and honesty and become…. Well, they’ll just become.

Watchtower exposed - video

This video seems to do a decent job of exposing some of the lies about the printing company but in reality it’s main purpose seems to be selling their own Jesus product once again in a bright and shiny new and improved packaging by making someone else look bad so they can look good. Just call their prayer line phone number that they flashed across the screen
Who is Jeremiah films trying to fool beside those who have already been fooled once?
Never mind, I just answered my own question.
Hey what the hell…what ever floats your boat.

The lord’s word also says the sun revolves around the earth soooooo…..so much for it’s understanding of outer space.
I use to roll my creative thinking reality escaping herbs in bible pages to smoke it (they print their bibles using tobacco paper cuz the Bethelites can’t afford Zigzag paper), do you do that or are you a pipe man?

If you were God, would you want to be worshipped?
by rebel8 inif i was the god of the bible, i think my priorities would be to set the ground rules of life and manage the planet, ensuring life is good.
i cannot envision any reason to desire worship.

This is one of the more important concepts that I examined when I started looking at religion outside of the watchtower’s grasp. Being a father and a parent I felt that I was more understanding and loving than the god the bible speaks of. I was also a lot more psychologically secure with who I was than that god. I felt that if I could have children and raise them to be good people I certainly did not need them to tell me how great I was all the time or play games with them constantly having them prove how much they loved me.
Then I started reading history books about how people thought and felt about the world back when the various parts of the bible was written. It then began to make sense. I saw that the intent was not so much for people to worship and praise some mythical hebrew god but more to praise and follow those who professed to represent and speak for him.
Then I read about how the hebrew god and his earthly prophets were an amalgamation of gods and prophets from older religious myth passed down and explained by the traveling merchants of the time.
I do not worship or praise any concept. I do appreciate the positive aspects of ancient philosophy when handed down as good ideas to live by but do not recognize them as exclusive to any one religious theory. Love and guidance is one thing. Worship and fear is another.
So no. I would not want to be worshipped. I am not that insecure with myself to need it.

Donnie,
I have to agree completely (this time) with what my friend LT said. It has been great to see you grow so fast in figuring it out and then turn around and start helping others. You are an inspiration to even an old fart like me. Stay who you are.
