Secrecy?
by HereIgo inwere any of you shocked by the secrecy in the org?
i remember hearing that elders have to turn in their "flock" books if they resign, get deleted, etc, i didn't even know they had their own books and i was an ms. is the bible not enough?
i remember i asked one of the elders if i could see my publisher record, they refused to show me!

@smiddy exactly! as long as the bro meets qualifications in 1 timothy why is that not enough? I have heard of elders debating on whether or not they should appoint a bro who averages 9 hours...seriously you wont appoint him because he is an hour short of your 10 hour rule? unbelievable. Meanwhile, you have bro wifebeater who is an elder and is helping with the decision smh

Why cant Judicial Committees be taped?
by HereIgo ini have never understood this.
was it because of legal reasons?
i cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but i know the elders ask you repeatedly that you are not taping.

I have never understood this. Was it because of legal reasons? I cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but I know the Elders ask you repeatedly that you are not taping. Even cases in the court of law can sometimes be filmed or taped. What is the deal?

Ridiculous ways you kept your "time going" in service?
by HereIgo ini used to go out early mornings with 2 pioneer elders, we would drive 20 miles out of the territory (a big no-no) to look for hikers to preach to lol of course there were never any hikers.
then off to starbucks for another hour lol easy way to count 2-4 hours.
i am chuckling as i write this, what a joke!.

What is the biggest hypocrisy you have seen as a witness?
by HereIgo ini have far too many to name, but ill start with obscene music, gambling and cussing like a sailor.
all the while preaching to "worldly people" about their impending death at armageddon.

@hyperpen, the GB members must think they are God smh, I remember GB member Sam Herd came to dedicate my old hall when it was first built. I accidentally bumped into him and apologized, and tried to introduce myself, I was ignored.

@user99, I believe that's called a letter of recommendation? not 100% sure. But there was definitely something in that letter that stopped you from being re-appointed. I had an interesting experience also that I addressed in one of my other threads when I became appointed. Long story short, it was obvious that the entire process was completely man-made

@crazyguy, because the article basically implied that the calling of heavenly ones may not ever end, and thus the anointed "generation" would never end thus meaning Armageddon would not be coming any time soon. I tried to ignore this doubt, however when they came out with the overlapping generation around 2010, I was done with the cover-ups

Yeah it's all a joke. I remember one month my mother had ZERO hours in service for the month, so thats what she turned in. An elder said " no theres no way you didnt talk about jah at all. I dont believe that. Lets just put an hour down" it was shortly before the CO visit, I wasnt dumb. This stuff cant be made up!
