does anyone else feel overwhelmed on what to believe?.
i've been doing lots of research on beliefs, evolution, creationism but i feel no further forward about what i truly believe.
for example i looked at the fossil record and tiktaalic and thought great it proves a lot but then i've seen counter arguments on youtube of people basically saying its a load of rubbish and doesn't prove anything.
I understand feeling overwhelmed. Check out my post history for topics I've started that showed my confusion on what to believe.
We will never truly and objectively know the right answer.
On my good days, I just try to live in the moment.

i don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.
i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.
i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.

I believe there has to be some sort of afterlife sometimes only because I'm afraid of there being nothing and other times because this universe is so complex I believe anything could be plausible.

It's frustrating in the event that it is actually all true and we must believe even if the Bible is all there is.

So what I've gathered so far is that to believe in the Deity of Jesus, requires pure faith and speculation. However, to be saved from Adamic Sin and have a hope for eternal life, I have to believe in the Deity of Jesus.
Hardly seems fair.

To rephrase, what is stopping Zeus from being the creator of this complexity and not Jesus?

If you are attributing complexity to a creator, ok, but then what is stopping another religion from being the correct one and yours being wrong?

when i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.
i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.
also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.

do i have to believe in jesus to be saved?.
i was raised as a jehovah's witness.
i was born in.
It does make it difficult to have 100% faith.
At most I can muster 50% faith.
I want to believe but there is so much confirming/debunking that needs to be done that it literally frustrates and depresses me.
I will never have the time and resources and ability to try to confirm or deny each argument for Jesus' existence.
