Just heard today from my parents that a member of the Canadian Bethel said that there is a 1% increase in publishers from last year.
I wonder if the Watchtower is a client of Arthur Anderson?

they made such a big deal of it but when you consider that this increase is mostly from jdub's that have been raised in it and are now starting to publish it is not such a big deal.
i was also told that they mentioned about the dangers of the internet and also about all the lawsuites that the "apostates" are bringing against the organization.

in every kingdom hall, there seems to be that one family that always irritates you.
in our hall there is this one family that thinks they have been blessed by jehovah himself because nearly all of the children became either bethelites, traveling overseers,or elders.their comments always have that tone which is condescending.
they always give their "wonderful experiences" of how they helped 2000 people in the "truth".
mustttt resisttttt haha there are SO many here that I wouldn't know where to begin or where to end. the PO's family, several elders' families etc. it goes on and on. Basically, the "elders' only" clubs rule the roost.
okay, mind out of the gutter now!!!
what i was wondering is, does size really matter in a religion.
after all jw's are one of the worlds smaller religions ... 6 million is not large!
My Ghod is bigger than your Ghod!
Well, whip out your Ghod and let me see him!

You show me yours, and I'll show you mine, then we'll know who has Jehovah's blessing!

"higher" education not needed in god's new order
in the june 8, 1967 issue, the awake!
magazine printed an article on pages 3-8 entitled "second thoughts about a college education.
At the District Assembly in 1999 they had a guy up on stage who was maybe around 20. The guy interviewing him asked him why he gave up going to college and decided to pioneer instead. The 20-something guy responded "because I asked the person that was studying with me if I should go to college and he said, 'do you want to live or do you want to DIE?'" Since I was going to college at the time, it really pissed me off.
When I was younger that meant that the dogs would be eatin' good tonight
was there ever anything positive from being a witness?
could you say that because you were a witness at least......or was it all negative?
SEAWOLF, STOP BRAGGING

I learned how to be pretty self-righteous. I got really good at it, too.
when prime minister tony blair was 'summoned' to camp david a couple of day's ago, he looked succinctly uncomfortable when doing a press interview with president bush.
today, the prime minister faces the tuc conference, the main agenda covering the impending war on iraq.
british public opinion is very much for the action to not take place against iraq.
LOL!!! And we would never do that would we! (Germany, Japan, Korea, Panama etc..etc..etc..)
hehe. I'm pretty sure it was a "Headliners and Legends" episode on Saddam Hussein.
Here's a quote of his from a speech...it's a bit different but more or less the same:
He said he relied on those same principles when defending the United States policy not to invade Baghdad in the Gulf War. My decision to move forward with Operation Desert Storm was in an effort to drive Iraq out of Kuwait, not Saddam Hussein out of power. He explained, Driving Saddam out of power would have been impractical because the United States would have been alone in that job and become an occupying force with no easy way out.http://www.neurosurgery.org/aans/bulletin/spring99/features/meeting.html

On a MSNBC special they were interviewing the elder George Bush and he said the reason that they didn't go there is because they would be a foreign force occupying the country.
