  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  The experts have said that taking into account the unreported cases which there are going to be, its about a 1 percent range. Ten times higher than the avg flu. The panic in and of itself is worrying. Will crime rise? Is it time to get out that AR15 with 30 round mag and have it at the ready? Will food supply chains go down? People and I have said this for many years do not know several things, the millennial know less, that is how thin of line there is between society and Anarchy. three people rob a bank and the police can be over whelmed if they are armed well and have body armor. Now think of the LA riots and the police just backed out and let them do their thing as blacks burnt down Asian businesses and people went nuts. If you were in the middle the call the police was bull shit. If you had not weapon you were at the mercy of the thugs. Don't rely on the gov. to protect you or take care of you. They will fold like a cheap hookers dress on a motel room floor when SHTF. People don't know that for years corporations have nixed wear houses and goods now go from factory to retail stores to save the money on the property for warehousing and storing. This means the wear houses full of goods is not there to act as a shock absorber

  Guns and ammo selling out fast

  i went to my local walmart today and most of the can goods and frozen foods were sold out.

  i did a web search from where i buy ammo from, lucky gunner, sg ammo, buds and others.

  bulk ammo is sold out just over night.

  even if you are young and heathy there are very good reasons to fear this disease and take drastic actions to avoid it individually, and halt it together as communities.

  not only would it be traumatic as a society to lose so many old and unwell family members and friends, but survivors of the disease may suffer significant health problems in the future.

  survivors of the first sars virus in 2003 have suffered significant lung problems.

Antibiotics do not now nor ever have been something to treat a virus. A virus is not alive, a bacteria is a living organism. there never has been nor will there most likely ever be a cure for a virus. A vaccine is not a cure but a way to introduce a weakened form of a virus into a body so it can build antibodies without contracting the disease, what your body does when it does get a virus. Out door pets. Again bull shit. dogs and cats do not get and so do not pass on the corona virus. This is more panic bull shit that has no basis in science.The World Health Organisation issued updated information on Thursday 13 March saying "at present there is no evidence that companion animals/pets such as dogs or cats can be infected with the new coronavirus. One pet in Hong Kong is said to have tested pos for a weak form of the virus. This is in doubt as to it being true. Good god this is such bull crap. This canine patient was in close contact with an infected human, who was likely shedding large quantities of the virus. This led to the virus being in the dog’s nose. There is no indication that the dog is sick or showing any symptoms. Authorities say they will continue to quarantine and test the dog to evaluate if the canine patient becomes ill. In short, there was coronavirus on the dog just like there was coronavirus on the floor in the room but the dog was not infected or diseased.

  Closing meeting or gathering places is not panic just good procedure to stop unneeded spread. In a couple of months this thing will be seen as the biggest over blown fraud. It may even have a back lash when the next one hits people will say ya remember the BS of the Corona virus and not be vigilant
