Rebound Relationships

i really don't know where to start with this....it's so personal, and i'm so confused.

when i left bethel, i was a basket case, and married my first wife while i was still in mental/emotional limboland.

i loved her from the bottom of my heart (as best i can imagine what that means), and meant what i promised "till death do us part.

Great talk at the KH today

i went to a kh near me today, they had a guy from london bethel talking.

he had some interesting things to say.. he did the talk in two parts, in the first half hour he was comparing 'this system of things with the titanic, and saying a lot about how the people on the titanic were carrying on normaly when the ship hit the berg.

then he went on about people had to 1, believe that the ship would sink and 2, have faith that the lifeboats would save them.

Then moved to say how the carpathia ( the ship that picked up the survivors) carried them on to NY.

I am sure you all know the ' jw blank stare & fixed smile', well this is what happend when I casually mentioned afterward, how comforting it was to know that when the big crash happens, that some will have the chance to bail out and move to a ship that was going to the same destination anyway.

Half hour WT Study.

The next hour he was telling us all about the way that the bethelites are learning languages to witness to foriegn nationals in thier own language, he claimed that the most popular language study is cantonese, and told us that there are a lot of Bible Studies happening with chinese students who then (he claimed) go back to china and witness to family/friends etc.

It looks as though the gb has found a back door into china, and are getting the next crop of 'persecuted martyrs' ready.

The second most popular ' language' is signing so that they can witness to deaf people. He even said that numerous bethelites were going out ' searching' as he called it, trying to find deaf people to invite to a study, (different sort of field service there hum?). At one stage he even said that if you are at a door, and the homeowner seems to be not paying attention, then they may be deaf so don't give up.

will everyone stop wearing clothes?

will our eyes become closed to nudity as they were in the beginning?

Just had another thought. (two in one day!)

If the Bible is to be believed God is a spirit.

Man is made in God's image.

So why would a spirit wear clothes?(or carry baskets, or eat, and where did those kids come from?)

Be good news for the dubs though, there won't be anyone left to minister to so they won't have to go out.

this forum has indeed helped me with my exit from the watchtower, as well it continues to be a great source of help, theraphy, encouragement and information.. my husband is a member here.

How Do Dead Witnesses Feel?

i have a picture of charlie russell in a nice frame that i keep.

I do sometimes wish that I could somehow get a hold of all the people in history who have caused so much pain/heartache/suffering/death in the name of religion, and bang thier heads together.

I do not think of my self as a vindictive person, but those people make me sometimes wish that there is a hell, and that they are in it.

Seems to me that paradise is the place that humans look after so that god has a place to walk.

I never did understand why A&E suddenly realised that not wearing clothes was wrong, they were supposed to have been created COMPLETE so why the clothes/no clothes deal?
