  Why dont you go to the memorial?

  does anyone else feel 'pulled back in' at this time of year?.

  i still consider myself to a believer, believe in god and jesus christ, on the whole i think he taught tolerance, love, acceptance and i think we can benefit from following his example.

  i love ray franzs book in search of christian freedom.

  Another reason l dont attend among many other reasons is the strong waft of wine.Being an alcoholic in remission for 10 years l do not appreciate the strong smell permeating as it passes by.l avoid alcohol like the plague and any reminder of it doesnt help.

  Tornintwo the longer you stay away the better off you will be mentally,You wont get your head straight with a foot in the door.l stopped going to the memorial a few years back.lve been to about 50 memorials and realized l only went to appease dad when he was alive.l never was baptized and most likely never will be.Having made the break lve been able to step back and evaluate the entirety of it all.Theres absolutely no point attending when you are having serious doubts.Those doubts will not go away and will always be with you.

  Exactly right wouldnt you have to feel like a dork going door to door preaching the good news then have to go back and try and explain how the light has changed and weve got a new story to tell.No wonder people slam the door or wont listen.They must think the dubs are a pack of dorks.

  l have a problem with this.lf adam and eve didnt sin the earth would eventually have been full to the brim with perfect human beings.then what every man gets the chop or no more sex?then on the other hand we have the jw's sayingresurrected ones will not be allowed to marry in the earthly new system.. married survivors of armageddon will remain married.

  single survivors of armageddon may or may not be allowed to marry.so it seems that people reborn into new system wont be able to procreate.

  and married survivors will stay married so l assume that means they can still hanky panky and have babys thats a bit unfair..the earth can only accommodate a maximum number of humans then what for the married couples.

  Man evolving from apes is pure fiction imo.lts been well documented its a hoax.But for the believers your fully entitled to your opinions but the mere thought of evolving from an ape ???Where did the ape come from?and so forth.World renowned scientists are slowly waking up and drawing conclusions that there may very well be a creator of sorts.

  Just to clear things up here lm not a dub and never have been and most likely never will be.lm not 100% sold on any idea or belief.l keep an open mind.ln starting this thread lm just trying to expose how ridiculous the jw way of thinking really is.

  The memorial beauty pageant

  since the memorial is coming up soon and its about time for me to go shopping for a new memorial ( aka easter) dress, i've realized what the memorial really is for us teenage girls, a beauty pageant!

  the memorial is the day i spend painting my nails, curling my hair, and carefully applying makeup because my mother says i have to "represent jehovah" and look my best.

  in reality its just to impress the newcomers and to compete with the other girls.

  lf the sisters rocked up to the memorial in hot pants lace net stockings and only a bra l might consider going this year other wise forget it.
