Had a operation today and was asked about blood transfusions.
by atomant inoperation was successful only minor but some interesting information was revealed to me from the surgeon.l requested that they treat me as if l was a jehovahs witness with regards to blood transfusions.the doctor said well that varies from jw to jw and l asked what do you mean?his response was that in his dealings with jw's was that approx half of witnesses will accept a blood transfusion in life threatening circumstances and sign a form saying so.l was blown away when he told me this.l was curious if others in here have heard similar storys.lt seems to me that many witnesses have weakened their stance on this controversial subject.

lf evolution is true then doesnt it make sense that other life forms exist on far away planets.?
by atomant injust thought ld throw it out there for discussion.lf we evolved from nothing doesnt it stand to reason that other life forms also evolved from nothing?l mean lets face it time is infinite.
so given enough time its possible for anything to happen isnt it?

great post theliberator l expected the response l received.ln a way its very sad,Nevermind we are all different and each entitled to our opinions because thats all they are is opinions. By the way l simply asked a question and got attacked.l never stated or implied what my belief is.And yes l have spent many many hours researching evolution amongst other things. lt seems to me the wt have burnt many people and irreparably damaged them leaving them emotionally scarred,l was dragged along to meetings against my will until my early teens when l made a stand and refused to go to any more meetings because it gave me the shits and l didnt believe it.l didnt allow their brain washing techniques to influence me. -

The biggest problem is themselves.Surely they arent all naive.Yet they all insist on lying to themselves and spreading the lie.False prophets. -

by atomant inl thought this would be an interesting exercise to read the different responses.

Christadelphian
by Billy1000 inmy name is stephen and i am new to the forum.
i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.
in no way do i mean disrespect if it has been caused.

hi billy1000.l guess the 1000 tagged onto your name represents the millennial rule of christ.Anyway getting back to disobedient humans l guess its in their nature. An inborn weakness imperfection. The same applys to the angels. What l dont get is why one third of the angels left god to join forces with satan.Does not make sense like so many things.l really do get so frustrated trying to make any sense of it all.Keeping an open mind helps.l guess deep down most of us believe in a creator of some kind even though many will not admit to it until facing death on their death bed.Funny about that. -

The tenth and final plague of Egypt was the death of all first born in Egypt — no one escaped, from the lowest servant to Pharaoh's own first-born son, including first-born of livestock.
It is understandable that the God punished Egypt because Egyptian Pharaoh wouldn't obey his order. However, it was unreasonable and went too far to kill the first-born of all humans and animals in Egypt. You can punish the Egyptian Pharaoh for his disobedience. Why inflicting on the common people? Even worse, the God would kill the kids of the girl slaves working as donkeys in the lowest rank. Can we still say the God behaving like this merciful? It was behaving without humanitarianism just like a Devil.
Even more abominable, the Pharaoh of Egypt wouldn't let the Israelis leave mainly because the God had hardened the Pharaoh's heart. Before the Ten Plagues came, the God in the Bible had done something. According to 7:3
in the Exodus, Jehovah told Moses, “And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.”
It means the God in the Bible had prepared a trap for the Egyptians, trying to find an excuse for the following plagues. In Exodus 8:19, “Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God." But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.”. In Exodus 9:35, “And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.” In Exodus 10:20, “But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.” In Exodus 10:27, “But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.”
