My experience with the people in my hall
by Freeandclear ini've been awake now for about 6 months i'd guess and a member here for a couple of weeks.
it's been eye opening to read other peoples experiences on here and i appreciate all of you.
i've noticed in many, seemingly most, of your comments that you were not treated well at your hall or you have had very negative experiences in the "org" so i thought i'd like to share mine.. in all my time as a jw i have to say for the most part i always loved the people.

Hypocrites
by atomant inget this my sister and her elder husband are visiting from over seas and are currently being groomed by bethel how to set a better example.they are being told how to behave right down to how to dress to set a proper christian example.anyway they are both over weight by a fair margin to be considered unhealthy.the clincher is this elder whom is over weight had the outright cheek to counsel my other sister whom is a j dub that she is over weight and needs to do something about it.
now hows that for hypocritical behaviour.prime example in any ones book dont you think???

lts all like a huge cover up (child abuse) and no one wants to talk about it.They all go about their artificial lives just pretending it doesnt exist and that one day it will all disappear.Then one day they will all wake up in a fantasy magical land where pigs fly and snakes wont bite.What a crock of dog shit. -

first impression, he's a control freak.
he got up several times to correct the servants on lights, sound and speaker stand positioning.

The slow trickle has become a steady stream!
by freddo inin the last few weeks it seems that instead of one or two new posters a week we seem to be getting several every day.
many seem to be long time jw's who are troubled by the path of the organisation.
this is really encouraging to those of us who have been here sometime.. welcome!

My guess is there are many lurkers just biding time and slowly coming out of the wood work.Finding the strength to break the strangle hold that the jw:s have had over them is a major obstacle for many.Reading success storys can only give them more encouragement to finally bite the bullet and break free of the shackles that have been tied around their necks for so long.There is light at the end of the tunnel and there is no better time than now to make the change.Life is to short to procrastinate.
