All the ardeur here, to convince the flat earthers of their error, is just a standing in effort for what we wish we could do for the spiritual disc joke-ys, the JWs. living in their 2 D disk-o thek world. looking at charts, that are disproving their claims.

crisis of conscience of a middle aged anointed that is the story, and wt's failed doctrines. their collapsing claim to fame.
The hero yearns back to his teen years, when young sisters moved up to him, struggles with those fading desires now, and
all these thousands of new partakers, are they replacements, if he falls? are thousands of anointed failing ? and
his concern for the Sheep, their judgement. His generation is supposed to be there when they are judged to enter everlasting life, as Jesus said. but he realises there is much wrong with wt's doctrine now. He, his generation is passing away at the beginning of the Great Tribulation,~ 2073, but Jesus said the generation would not.
perhaps it was, it is wrong, and is all for nothing?

Actually, on a flat plane you cannot "see forever" but your horizon is the same as on a round earth of the size commonly put forward. Complete with increasing height making the horizon farther away. However, when you use high-zoom cameras in real life, it turns out
MrRoboto, the definition of the horizon is where light rays form a tangent (grasing)) the earth's surface before you seeing them. not how far you can see because of fog.
Using binoculars, you can actually see a ship's funnel appear, then rising , and then fully climb over that "hump" in the distant sea. see?
On a clear day , night really, we, (the Austr-aliens) can not quite see forever, but 2.5 million light years away, to Andromeda, by comparison, to the end of your flatland,s edge, it's horizon, , it's a mere 1/24 st of a second. With the right magnification you can see light from 13 billion light years away all directions even from the top and the bottom of your plate.
what a waste of time and talent for you to rise to the defense of the indefensible. remember what Jesus said about the wasted talents? the bible is a book written by flat earthers, this is not the place to defend that. but ,

sorry if you took that personally, but a creature that thinks it can deduce the shape of the earth by looking horizontally at a small area probably is limited in size in every way. obviously does not fit your description.
But refute please the geometry of an increasing distance from horizon to horizon with increasing heights of observation, when on a flat earth that distance remains constant, because "on a clear day you can see forever". It was balls all the way back to the beginning (almost), when even the universe was a smaller 4D "globe"
Gravity would not permit a plane, or even a level spot of the sizeof our home,-- made mostly of molten, liquid , low tensile strength materials to persist. The visiting elongated asteroid Oumuamua might be the limit. but think Roche limit, shearing forces. ps.

There are no tangents to a flat earth measurable fro above the surface. I have yet to see a ship coming over the horizon of my 30 mile horizon if it would be a flat disk, but:
yes, even the measurements of the globe's diameter made by the greeks,~ 200 BC, looking down into a well, measuring the length of a solar shadow variation, , could be made on a flat earth, but what would the results show?

Even Jesus was fooled by a flat earther who was "satan", by keeping up the pretense, that he had seen all the kingdoms of the earth within that small horizon.
In all places, specifically, one way or another , the horizon is much closer from the ground than from the 3rd floor, about 30 miles away, where the sun sets in June, and sometimes a cruise ship is still visible. simple math shows it is globular.
flat earthers snicker into their masks at any of us treating it as anything but the joke it is. Don't be the butt of the joke.

many of these new bible studies were actually very well educated but most knew little to no english, so they eventually settled into their nearest spanish congregations.. as they “progressed in the truth”, the society saw huge potential in these illegal immigrants but could not give them any privileges beyond cleaning the toilets after meetings… until the 1986 amnesty program.. however, this program required proof that they were in the us since before 1982 and a large percentage of these illegal immigrant bible studies snuck in after 1982. in fact, the largest surge started in 1983 and continued well into the 90’s.
it got so bad that kingdom halls in certain parts of the us simply had no qualified legal brothers to fill the numerous elder vacancies that this unexpected situation created.

wt prefers to keep the sheep in linguistically divided congregation. divide and conquer, then rule.
I simply can not understand why migrants that are so determined to make a new, better home further north, , not immediately learn the home language, if for no other reason to be less vulnerable and conspicuous. Is there no attempt to actually belong? Spanish after all, is only one step away from French, and English is a French german mix.
Imagine ICE during a spanish congregation meeting securing the 3 or 4 entrances.
