  Confusion with 'Message of Judgement'

  there has been some discussion regarding the change in the jws message so i thought i would have a listen to the recent annual meeting to try to get an idea as to why the jws are not clear on the matter, once again.

  it's strange that the annual meeting hasn't been put on jw org tv to date.it looks like the confusion stems from a talk given by tight pants tony and i've written out a part of that talk.

  his talk was titled 'making our blows count'.

  Pre 1975 wt put a limit of 6 month on any bible studies. even dear old ladies serving tea to special pioneers for years, were to be dropped after the 6 month ultimatum.

  Strange though, with wt expecting the six thousand years to end and paradise to begin,after Armageddon, they never had the guts to actually go into full "judgement message " mode, tracts and all.

  Perhaps that is why Armageddon did not come. Wt not printing the right stuff, and UN not responding and attacking... ha ha. Tony came close to the 6 month limit again. nice try.

  Please explain the Watchtower's "Ransom" for me

  If the ransom would be for Adam, he would be a candidate for the resurrection, which wt denies

  backhanded compliment to Sunday speaker

  a couple years ago we had a speaker, better than average, give the talk.

  since i was still pretty much a believer, i commented to him how i enjoyed the talk, and how it was "entertaining".

  it was, but he got mad as it was one of the beat the fear of god (governing body) into you talks.

  i said once: that was a well rehearsed talk (CO), convincing delivery. he said "thank you" . i replied: "it is always good if such talent would be used in defense of the truth."

  A stickler for protocol, some of the time. requires to have his son killed to satisfy the [later] law of eye for an eye, "unless blood is spilled.." but has no problems with all the laws of nature violated in all the "miracles of the bible stories. pile stories high of you know what.

  you are going too fast. The ransom was "to undo the works of the devil", which started with the talking snake working in his behalf. no talking snake, no ransom required.

  would a plasma constitute the melding of all the individual consciousnesses of all the included particles?

  are we seeing the revival and justification of the pet rock phenomenon?

  ps: just because the laws of creation/ nature allowed for the emergence of consciousness now, does not mean that it had to kick in right from the big bang on. imho

  as someone who has been out a while, i wondered what publications a jw would turn to now if they want to do serious bible research.

  are there any meaty jw publications left?

  i haven't heard of the insight books being revised.

  There are no more deep things in the cart displays, jworg. but, even current wt teachings are deep, because they are full of pitfalls, wt bible contradictions.

  BLUE PLANET2- A Designer?

  ha well- kind of.. i have read lots of cofty's post on evolution and tbh am so interested at his intelligent and thought proving threads.

  they are all factual, unemotional and point to may scientific sources.

  they cut through so may per-concieved ideas about life and do have that ring of truth.. but i feel empty and a little uncomfortable.

  It would be awesome if you lived in a society that had developed the technology where programs like "Blue Planet" would create themselves as an outgrowth of our current capabilities.

  That all Prior Art patents will have expired, would not mean that work was not involved.
