In the current weekly meetings, wt shows the true prophet languishing in prison, lying spirits favoured, The powerful killing, dispossessing the righteous and lowly, with no intervention.

I would expect that anybody menacing my family would deserve a deadly response. After all there is the resurrection hope for them. Jesus died for them.

114,000, Literal, or Symbolic?

a poster wrote to me privately, and brought to my attention the following comment below i made a while back in regards to the 144,00 number of revelation.

i had casually conjectured that this number was likely symbolic in line with the book of revelation being mostly symbolic in kind.

There is biblical support that the 144,000 and the Great Multitude are identical

VdH, no, the GM and the 12 tribes might be identical (wt at some place some time calls the 12 tribes the earthly class), but not the 144k,

The 144 000 are the elite that comes out of the Earthly class. Even today's "partakers" were just observers in the beginning.

Have JW `s ever faced the topic of Jesus having inherited Adamic sin ?

according to the bible all humans male and female have inherited sin because of adam and eve`s disobedience to god .. god may have impregnated mary with a life force , however it was still sinful mary who gave birth to jesus after nine months in her body who is /was supposedly without sin ?.

mary must have passed on some of her sinful state to jesus having been in her womb for the past nine months , surely.

and there is nothing in the bible / scripture to say otherwise ?.

Jesus validated the tale as true.

No matter how we wish the tale to be true, the internal evidence is lacking today.

take Jesus' affirmation of the global flood, inescapable because it covered even the highest mountains, the Himalayas.
There is no evidence that such mass, suffocating pressure was upon the earth for 9 month, only ~ 4000 years ago.

Our dying is explained not by sin, but it's benefits ( I am in my last decade) for the species as a whole.

Will J or j somehow ensure a better future? hopefully. but frankly,

the ransom, sinless sacrifice model is outmoded.

The 12 tribes of Israel, out of which the Apostles, and the multiple of their number came, are the large pool, great crowd . The 144 000 are the few rulers of the many. The number is limited, literal, not indefinite.

a) the tribe of Joseph, new at this point, rewarded for being whistleblowers. like us. and contrasted with

b) the the undetermined number of the members in each tribe, and
