Free Will - Does It or Does It Not Exist?
by truth_b_known inbeing born-in and raised as one of jehovah's witnesses i remember a common theme or phrases used by the watchtower in its theory of why things are the way they are -.
jehovah created humans.
jehovah created humans as free moral agents.

20 Things I Don't Understand about Jehovah's Witnesses
by Vanderhoven7 ini don’t understand how jehovah’s witnesses can rightly claim:.
that less than 150,000 faithful christians existed prior to the 20th century....when allegedly millions were martyred during the first 3 centuries of the common era alone.
unique ability to interpret scripture...when interpretation of prophecy has been 100% wrong for over 130 years.. .

Vdh: It is amazing what Watchtower knows without a shred of biblical evidence.
or even secular evidence. These newly resurrected immortal guardians , seeing what went on among their future heavenly co-citizen, should have been appalled to see that these were in a worldwide campaign to proclaim falsely, that "-- millions now living would never die"
why did they not stop that devastating basis for false prophet judgement among the remnant of their fellow "anointed" ? if they were truly now alive and in action, watching in the spirit world over the "spirit directed" organisation? to assure that no contaminated spiritual food was spread by the soon to be appointed wt F&DS of 1919?

Meet Olivia Newton-John's Grandfather, Max Born
by DNCall inolivia's maternal grandfather fled htiler's germany in 1933. he was one of the founders of quantum mechanics and a close friend of albert einstein.
it was max born who famously wrote: "the belief that there is only one truth and that oneself is in possession of it, seems to me the deepest root of all that is evil in the world.

good thing that he got out of Breslau, that lost all its Jewish population in the holocaust, and that the communist empire in its expansionism west, - during the great ethnic cleansing- incorporated in its landmass. --They are still at it as we speak.
It is so great that he made it to Scotland to teach there!
Remember the millions that did not make it out in time, the lives and future talents (like his granddaughter and others) that were never allowed to exist.

Because that ain’t wrong.
Fm, wrong, not only the date, time of year wrong but about what wt predicted,
was it not that the world would end? that the chosen would have breakfast/supper on a given date in heaven instead of in their building in Brooklyn, NY USA? and
How about the superior authorities? correcting the correction, embarrassing all the hapless preachers that "published" that for decades, making same fellow false prophets. (speaking for G.O.D.)
where was the spirit guidance there? weeding out those that would not follow instruction, even when they are wrong & illogical? ha ha
Imagine you being a faithful german christian about to be put to the guillotine for refusing military duty, but the authorities had shown you that your religion is wrong about even such clear scriptural instructions who they are. .

6c. The generation of 1914 (the anointed) will pass away at the outset of the great Tribulation.
scripture: that will not happen until after armageddon. In the first century, the last witnesses died 32+ years after the fall of Jerusalem.

that the 1914 generation will not pass away when babies born in 1914 are 108 years old today?
6a. to not pass away you have to be a baptized, time reporting witness, with 15 minutes per month minimum.
born in 1914, baptized as consenting adults would be 1o8+ years old today. Are there more than 2 million or any 1o8+ year old in the congregations today? will there be over 2 million such 120 year olds in 1934
6b there will be 2 million 100 year old overlappers in 2075?

A new generation of anointed that will not pass away.
by Fisherman inobviously, the older “ anointed ” from 1914 died.
and because they were anointed, they hopefully went to heaven.
in the first century though, a newer generation did not replace the old.

Roughly speaking, all (including bible writers) aspired to a world without sin and sinner, not a world with lazy repeat sinners whose crimes against "divine law" keep on being forgiven because they believe in the ransom giver{s}
Adam and Eve paid for their sin, why should we be punished for them? not just Jesus the second adam. . let's carry on.-- with clearer better, goals. may be a second Eve? a Jesusess? after all,
we already have perfect woman, or belved sweethearts

Arthritis pain. What works for you?
by Fisherman inthere are several prescription meds people use to relieve the pain of arthritis.
they work by suppressing the immune system or by reducing inflammation.
people also use otc anti-inflammatory pills, and even anti-allergy pills are reported to work because of being able to also reduce inflammation but people tell me that they are concerned to use some meds regularly because of potential side effects in long term use.

Elder Arrangement
by vienne inhi everyone, (including the person who down votes all of my posts).
as some of you know, i'm working toward my master's degree.
comments from those associated when the elder arrangement was introduced would help me with a research paper.. what was the reaction among adherents?

To appreciate the impact of a system where each year, personnel is moved through positions regardless of wishes or special aptitudes, consider
the congregation described in post #5. In 1974, the position of " congregation servant " was held by a highly qualified, capable and kind brother that was the operating officer of a company that was tops in its field, serving the state/ federal government contracts. Truly a natural administrator. As the merry go round rotated, he had to vacate his pivotal "theocratic" position to a man , with a loose tongue, who's best skill was with a skilsaw, -really a man working for the country's elite too. but you get it, the contrast could not be greater.
It was a good thing that the congregation paper works could run on autopilot while that arrangement lasted. Nevertheless, A new leadership style was tried, and liked by the members. (It was 1975 after all, ha ha.) --again--. But this went on every year, --for every position/function in the congregation. Great things were actually happening. so, normally
The cream or scum can rise to the top, and stay there, naturally. Rotation minimized the damage, but the good done too.
A boon for true Christianity, ( it was based on the chairman roles in the Jerusalem congregation's special meetings),- a disaster for a the ingrained super ego types***, the "system".
*** they had to watch the congregation bloom during their demotion year.

Elders rotating in a different way
rtn: re elders hitting on their underlings. Imagine a publisher married to a younger stunning oriental and demure beauty.
Elders constantly trying to assign themselves to have her work in their "field service" car group, the husband in another, scheduling her alone to go "on calls" with them; Choosing kh seats so they can gawk for 2 hours at a time at the "best view" in the room. elders allowing this to go on too. At every meeting squeezing into the front door the moment the object of their frustrated fantasies tries to enter. . true stories in 2 out of 3 congregations.
Peter in his letters prophesied, warned against these conditions, adulterous eyes, hidden rocks,
wt appointees fulfilling bible prophecies. following David's lead.
