Elder Arrangement

hi everyone, (including the person who down votes all of my posts).

as some of you know, i'm working toward my master's degree.

comments from those associated when the elder arrangement was introduced would help me with a research paper.. what was the reaction among adherents?

was "serving " in leader capacity since 1959. one funny reaction after the rotating elder arrangement happened in 1974, when it was my turn to take on the "presiding" role. (among those in our cong were associateds to future branch and GB material) {not me}. anyway, on the last BOE meeting before the start of the 1975 service year I mentioned that little me, as of Sept.1 would spend the last year in this system by resuming my pioneer carriere.

well, one or two chins dropped. They did not like the idea that I would keep tap on all the goings on by being in constant contact with the pleb. The very capable professional leaders hated every moment of the years of their subservient role.

In 1975 the congregation discovered that I am a natural in languages ( I served in the "foreign language field", in a 3rd, quickly learned learned tongue. Needless to say that no better skills in the HH ministry could stem the decline in membership decline after 1975 paradise fizzle.

I think that wt i missed then a golden opportunity to come closer to embody the Ideals taught by Jesus.

obviously, the older “ anointed ” from 1914 died.

and because they were anointed, they hopefully went to heaven.

in the first century though, a newer generation did not replace the old.

while the deity was obsessed with the later law of an eye or an eye in the ransom arrangement, conveniently was forgotten the principle that children should not be punished for misdeeds of their parents, yet meting out the death penalty to billions of unsuspecting newborn.

With mutations in the creator's quiver of creation tools, this quick genetic fix could have avoided that miscarriage of justice of killing all his human children for the sake of a missing fruit.

Fisherman think about it, we are not a flawed creation, " and it was good)". evolved just fine.

we do not need salvation except from the looming environmental and weapons disasters of our making.

it seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.

I always preferred to spend most of my contemplative free time on naturalistic concepts.

Disillusioned JW: how about these non biblical messages from a possible creator: on Earth, our home, the first planet where life was discovered:

10 fingers of prime species, number 10 in the planetary sequence (4,7,10,16, 28 52, 100 ,196, 292, 388,-) b) orbital velocity, 1/10 000 of "c", Einstein's key, the universal speed limit. c) surface gravity: 10 ms^2, d) Orbit diameter, 1000 light seconds, e) surface atmospheric pressure: 10 m of water; --Earth turns 100 times faster than our Moon---

PS. obviously the universe, the father's work are presented to us as a puzzle to be solved by enlightening science research.

"appeared to 500 brothers"? solved: composed of 7x70 evangelizers, plus the 11 apostles, minus the one who counted, but forgot to tabulate himself.

just a simple side by side summary on the Jehovah vs Jesus question of the OP:

Rev. 20:3 NIV : " -- beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus, and because of the word of God".

NWT: "witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God"

wt writers turn this around, they bear witness to God, but talk sometimes about Jesus, currently as the offspring of their hero David.

Both Fisherman and wt writers contradict the scriptures, - the Jesus story.

After all, about the end times generation He said in effect, that this generation will pass away after all has occurred.

Fisherman says : no jesus, they will not pass away.

wt writers say: no jesus, they (the anointed) will pass away before all has occurred, -----not as you said until (after) all has -(including the GT, judgement, Armageddon)- has occurred

Fisherman's contradicting new light is that the OS are anointed. wt take note! stock up on crackers and wine.

Where in scripture do you find Christians who are not in the New Covenant, not entitled to partake

wt is so ego- centered that they can not see that all members of the 12 tribes of the "israel of god" are in the new covenant, for forgiveness of sins,

that is not the kingdom covenant.

all memorial talk always lack the proof scriptures that the kingdom covenant holders only are also exclusively in the general new covenant, that jump over the chasm between the kingdom covenant and new covenant is always an astonishing flaw. .

Even if there is an Earthly or exoplanet hope, partaking is still one of the universally christian ritual, as is baptism minus the organisation bit, a detail that jesus never mentioned, in fact discouraged.

Fm: right, that description is limited to the environment around the "Lamb". Surely you are not ignorant of the vast areas and timeframes of "heavenly" happenings ? not to speak of the other open biblical heavens, the bird's domain and the cosmos, from which "satan" is expelled, but that is being explored by his subjects?

The heavens are not limited to the 144 000. but

like the mothers of james and John, in Jesus day, wt likes to think it can stack that limited area around Jesus with its adherents.

sacrificial death is required (Rev,20) , not partaking. all should slurp and nibble, . jesus served it to all, all earthly hopers. (even he had the right to life on earth, that he sacrificed).

Since the heavenly hope was the only “calling” throughout the centuries

Fm: really? Peter, the rock, wrote of "awaiting a New heaven and a NEW EARTH."

At the last supper, Jesus served the emblems to people with an earthly hope. billions partook since, the fact that they did not believe in the overlapping groups does not matter. Wt doctrine, or any amalgam of it, is erroneous and irrelevant to the great universal scheme.

With "heaven" having so many meanings, how about a material heavenly hope, seeding life on trillions of heavenly bodies with heavenly (perfect} bodies, carrying proven good qualities from the experience here, -- revived there?

Who says there are only 144 000 places ? that elite numbers is just the Groom's entourage (wherever he goes) There were already millions and millions of angels, , and possible places (many mansions) for that many more newcomers.

imho. you are taking this house of cards structure of the talking snake story too seriously. The magnificent universe before us tells a more glorious picture than that pathetic tale's denouement. .

1. great britain: i always picture it to the west of france.

if i'm reading about the norman invasion or d-day i always see it in my head as crossing the channel east-west / west-east.

Colombia, Venezuela, Panama are in the southern hemisphere. not so.

Warwick is in upstate New York, not so, it is more of suburb/exurb of NY city, the extreme south of the state.
