You can never under-estimate human's illogical devotion to some cause.
The devotion to the cause of the weak. look at Europe now. First, Germany installed a communist educated lady as head of the conservative party, then she became head of the biggest Nato nation. "The most powerful lady in the world". ( wir schaffen das)
Her lady defense minister, that squandered all the money, and left germany defenseless, was made head of the European Union, for more of the same., on a larger scale. you could not make that up, without being laughed at. in the meantime,
Putin warned the other former colonies, The baltics to protect his embassies. Any riot there will become a reason to invade in order to protect the bear's interest. not invade, but be forced into the next " military action".

Why do you call yourselves "apostates?"

i know you call yourselves apostates because the bible defines people who leave their previously held beliefs as apostates.
my question means, if the bible is not true (and i don't think it is) then there is no such thing as an apostate.i have never been a jw, only a bible student with them.

Being affirmed as an apostate will exempt you from the judgement. karma that is to be meted out against all supporters of a falsehood that was proffered as coming from the creator.
Apostates will get a double portion: witness Joseph, the primary whistleblower.
Jesus, fulfilling the law outside the lawyer's setup.

by careful inhas anyone heard any word on active witnesses inside the ukraine and what has been happening with them the last week or so?
i checked the official org website but there was just the expected "fulfilling bible prophecy" stuff.
perhaps someone here has bethel contacts who have leaked some info on what the gb is trying to do for these victims of putin's madness?.

Do they not already compete, not for Russia, but under the auspices of the local olympic committee?

How are the jw males getting out of the country?
They walk.they drive, they railroad. While there are stories of men driving their families to the border, only dropping them off at the train station, there are also pictures of mixed crowds with junger males lining up at the crossing points. ( could be foreigners leaving)even stories of a Ukrainian two way male traffic. foreign legion forming.
