most things we do are not done well enough because of the time constraint. time= resources compiled. but
living forever on this planet is limiting life to already half done.

for me it is enough to show by wt publication teal leaf reading that the Armageddon scenario is pushed to 2075, or even the end of this century. the really long bachelor party.

Why isn't Lazarus my next-door neighbor?
by return of parakeet inafter looking through doug mason's "ransom" thread, i noticed a little discrepancy between dub doctrine and the bible; i.e.
lazarus.. if the wages of sin is death, lazarus paid the wages in full by dying, and when resurrected by jesus, he should then have been a "perfect" man.
after all, he paid his wages for his imperfection -- he died.

it is all just stories. but to play along, resurrection of Lazarus would not have restored perfection, but just just restored the previous state. better focus on the resurrector:
To give any credence to the story, jesus should have been allowed, with angelic maneuvering and protection, undetectable, to live past 1000 years before being killed. preferably timed to happen in our day. gerontologists would have had a hay day.

and there can be sequels, because the wt to 2075 scenario is based on Adam, the bachelor. The reason 1975 failed (according to them), is, that Adam ultimately married the final masterpiece, Eve, and only that rib cloning started the sabbath.

neat blue dog, thank you, but I thought these days you need at least a bachelor (5) degree for that, seeing that they are so rare in the GB.
I found it interesting, that by prompting from Fisherman, one can cover from Adam to Armageddon (and beyond) through 4 one-time male virgins; like the old-timer A-A h2h sermons .

Another bachelor, the king ruling since 1914, could then proceed with the wedding with his bride, the then complete "New Jerusalem".

1975... the year that keeps on giving.
by silentbuddha inso i recently moved back to my really really really small hometown in the south.
it was the place that my parents moved to from a major city up north in the early 1970's.
when we lived here times were very tough financially and i was always told that the reason we did not attend meetings was due to the fact that we had no car / no gas for the car / could not afford repairs for the years we were there.

Confusion with 'Message of Judgement'
by Listener inthere has been some discussion regarding the change in the jws message so i thought i would have a listen to the recent annual meeting to try to get an idea as to why the jws are not clear on the matter, once again.
it's strange that the annual meeting hasn't been put on jw org tv to date.it looks like the confusion stems from a talk given by tight pants tony and i've written out a part of that talk.
his talk was titled 'making our blows count'.

Pre 1975 wt put a limit of 6 month on any bible studies. even dear old ladies serving tea to special pioneers for years, were to be dropped after the 6 month ultimatum.
Strange though, with wt expecting the six thousand years to end and paradise to begin,after Armageddon, they never had the guts to actually go into full "judgement message " mode, tracts and all.
Perhaps that is why Armageddon did not come. Wt not printing the right stuff, and UN not responding and attacking... ha ha. Tony came close to the 6 month limit again. nice try.
