I agree, let us not trivialize this let us hear David Splane's two statements if they are on record. I am computer illiterate. but for a nerd it should be no big deal. I too am interested because Joseph and Cie. aside, if Franz and his older fellow partakers are the gold standard, we are looking at 2075. and we have it in their own, current words!

Need help with a reference dealing with the Generations and SPLAINE
by ttdtt inwhen originally explaining the "new generations" splaine used the example of joseph and his brothers.. he backed up the time difference between the original anointed, and the new ones by using what he said was a big age difference between the youngest "joseph" and his oldest brothers.. then more recently in a jw broadcast - he said that there was not a big age difference between joseph and his oldest brother.. can any one help me find both those, please?.

D. Splane aside. I would like to see the ages of the 12 brothers spelled out, stacked up for us, including Benjamin, to undo the GB's argument and use it against them, so far 2075 is a reasonable outer limit. The F&DS' "soon"

A retraction and apology - I posted incorrect information.
by doubtfull1799 init was recently brought to my attention by the person who was with me on the carts at the time, that a comment i made six months ago about the cart work on this forum was incorrect.
i apologise and in the interests of honesty and accuracy i feel it is only right to issue a public retraction.
i have quoted the post in question below as i am not sure how to correct or delete the original.

It has been well established that eye witness (pun just happened) are notoriously unreliable ( a lie lies in there too), and not intentionally. Bravo for you going back and sorting this out for the absolute truth's sake!

Last Week's Watchtower had something that made people start questioning things?
by silentbuddha ini just got a call from a friend who said that something in last weeks watchtower caused a number of people in various congregations to start questioning things, and several long time elders left.
i am totally out of the loop but i do read things here and i heard of no such thing.. something to the effect that jw's and governing boobies are not inspired or something along those lines?.

this week's watchtower too leaves many unanswered between the lines questions. Of course creation demands that you obey natural laws, or face a reduced life span, but on issues of choice?:
Obey sovereignty: stealing one fruit merits the death of billions and billions? succeeding in a building project merits worldwide mayhem through language communication disruption? slanting the level playing field in the Almighty's favour? Free will, free choice, but if you make your choice I will kill you?

Par. 11 "...Nowhere do we read of God’s telling Job specifically the reason behind his suffering. The main point of Jehovah’s words was not to explain to Job why he was suffering, as if God had to justify himself.
Par. 2: "---Or we could allow the weight of our personal trials to eclipse that great issue.
thank you blondie.

Jesus resurrected in spirit or flesh, JW doctrine?
by Crazyguy inwhat is the jw doctrine on this?
and do they believe that he ascended then came back or dead for three days and then only ascended after being resurrected for a while?.

resurrected in the spirit, but gifted to "materialize" a new, different fake body (like the angels before the flood) , after 30 days of that, going to heaven, departing in a fake body. Ten days later showering the 120 with holy spirit in the form of artificial fake flames. or
so the story goes, written decades later with enhanced memory

I just took a quick look and couldn't find anything in the study article for last week that touched on that. Maybe I missed it.
right, every comment seems to just harp on familiar gripes, GB, prophecy, but those are not in the study at all.
It is about Job and the rest of us to put up and shut up, and being kept in ignorance by wt. the g,o,d,
Thanks blondie to at least put that up for those to read before spouting.
