  Jupiter protects the earth... another example of intellectual dishonesty and an argument against design

  i'm taking a university astronomy course, and i must say it's really fun to read about this field.

  anyway, i remember the jws used to use jupiter (and probably still do) as an example for how unique and special our solar system is (and thus designed) -- namely, that jupiter protects the earth from astroids, comets, and meteors.

  convincing if one doesn't know any better, especially circa 1994 when jupiter stepped in front of a comet for us... but this isn't the full story!

  Go to "atheists: a balls question" thread. fact is that we are here, and Jupiter was the first and biggest planet to emerge and give stability, lasting billions of years, long enough for you to evolve. and

  If Earth's orbit is designated as exactly 10 (like our digits) Jupiter would be 52*** and is the closest to that value (~.01%), closer than any other planet orbit radii.

  *** Titius Bode law: Mercury 4, Venus 7, Earth 10, Mars 16, Astr, 28, Jupiter 52 Saturn 100...

  Tacoma Dome Conventions

  so i went to visit my jw aging mother this week (i've been df'd for 40 years) and she told me she needs to give the people who are taking her to the convention $10 each day of the convention to cover gas?

  my uber elder cousin told her she needs to do this!!!

  Do You Hope Donald Trump Makes Jestures Of Mending USA With Russia Relationships?

  i think the problems the us and russia face are mainly ideological.

  the cold war these two countries have been in needs to be stopped and common sense needs to be applied i hope trump can push thing in the right direction and that he has good advisors.

  i'm all for these two major world military powers to put away their differences and find way to work together on common problems they face.. they need to cooperate with each other even in their cyber warfare.

  FM:There are no more two ideologies. Communism according to Marx Lenin is gone. Trump and Putin are both on the same nationalistic, "keep the white race, "christian" values alive" wavelength. Trump voters and Russian traditionalist are of the same cloth. and

  I wish they find that common interest and stop the internal aggressions in Europe to the Urals that has cost perhaps 100 Million casualties and would cost more if it comes to a Nato/ Russia clash.

  Russia/ USA have many common, but also opposing goals. Trump is for supporting Nato/ Poland Baltics, against further Crimea type crimes, but is with Russia/ Poland, Hungary, Austria to stop encroachment by foreign ideologies, civilisations, cultures coming from invaders, migrants, militants.

  Putin is in line with Trump to maintaining the existing identity of distinct civilisations, whether that is right or not. it is definitely not "left".

  Watchtower study today - best practice in word

  due to family reasons gorby was present today.. the watchtower study was about refugee's.. how to treat refugee's, jw and non believers, and help them spiritual, not financial.

  nothing new.. what i mentioned is the juridical message underneath the whole story.

  don't talk politics, listen to government regulations etc.. most bizar is that a whole congregation that normaly avoid giving any aid to people in need, this morning gave the best practice in word about what to do with refugee's.. if the subject was not that serious, this hypocracy could be funny.

  The relevant scripture missing from today's wt "study"?? sheep & goats, least of my brothers . because

  Jesus taught that you do not know, who you help, if you look after the needy. Wt of course has appropriated that scripture for their sole benefit, all good works should go the WTBTS Inc. ...beneficial refugees? if they become volunteers for WTBTS.
