  just to get others opinions and experiences.

  out of everyone in the jw organization, how many do you think never get caught doing a "gross sin "?

  Was this kind of a lottery, where only the chosen few got the monetary reward? or an across (here is that word again) the board benefit for all fertile families? The Nazis gave to all over four families the Pour le Merit. (and now the later german government a thank you pension).

  too would really like an interpretation of the fathers speech in context. Very bizarre. dsp:

  at least he would have wt "ministry school" training to get the point across not as a novice, (his family name notwithstanding) ha ha. The a-"cross" unintended pun too. May be he wanted to get the whole thing off his chest?

  is the medal given to the man? reward for sticking around and not bolting, and let the state looking after it's future?

  JWs have a rich ancient history of having 12 and more offspring (not counting daughters of course). ancient patterns resumed? may be like 1975, wt will see a wave mounting and jump on the big family bandwagon? beats the h2h results, and big financial benefits.

  Have any other old-timers had similar experiences? ON:

  That would even be true of the pioneers, that were an "avant garde" up to the point of no return. Would today's crop of young jws' urges be stifled? I doubt it. New is, that elders interview couples now, as to their chastity to allow kh weddings or not. That was not an issue in some areas, because witnesses were not sanctioned to do weddings, period.

  These vile things might be transgressions against the "new scrolls" that were opened (another valid beef of yours) , there might be a law" Thou shalt not commit levitation" and a huge kite might lift some hapless kid, a first step to a new glider movement. Not just sail boats but sailplanes. vile things indeed, practised in the four corner of the "new earth".

  Is there anything recent in the publications about Jesus only being the ransom for annointed?

  i was trying to find something recent that i can show "still ins" in my sphere but it is proving harder than anticipated.. most of what i am seeing is couched in confusing goblygook wt style prattle.. my wife argues that it's not even true and i think that's the case with most jaydubs.. so i guess if it is a teaching that is being allowed to fade, maybe it's not worth pursuing?.

  any of you scholars out there got anything recent clear and handy?.

  At every memorial wt proclaims that the ransom, through the New Covenant, is only for the anointed.

  The New Covenant is for forgiveness of "sins" and god's law in the hearts, and wt can not bear the thought that anyone but them would qualify, after all the universe will revolve around them too, , right?

  when i suffered some loss what jesus said came to my mind: “if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.” (mathew 5:40) principle behind this statement made flash to me: ‘here shirt is only a symbol of material things/comfort.

  if you suffer a loss, have the mind-set that i have no problem even if i suffer some greater loss,’ and my worry immediately disappeared.

  whether jesus was a historical figure or not matters not if what he (supposedly) said happens to be of great practical help..

  If the talking snake is historical Jesus better be historical too. Without either, there would be no original sin -- cancelled. (all in the same book)

  so, it comes down to the WT's definition of "Spiritual Israel" or [Israel of God]

  wt: The "12 tribes of Israel" of Math.19, & Rev.7 are the Earthly Subjects of the kingdom, but they are not The "anointed" Israel of God. so we have:

  a) Spiritual Israel without it's full 12 tribes, and b) 12 other Tribes of Israel, that are not part of the Israel of God, --well, that is wt weirdness for you.

  Jesus' "ransom" , "mediation" is effective immediately for the small wt Israel of God, but only in 1000+ years for the 12 tribes. -- wt trivia,

  of partakers ... it basically blames Paul for lack of foresight that the number 144000... AM:

  very insightful comment. The sealing of the 144 000 goes on since Pentecost. The hope of a "New Earth" was part and parcel of the first century hope, there must have always been non-sealed Christians among the billions of partakers that ever lived. or?

  Jesus served the emblems (symbols of forgiveness of sin) to non-sealed / un-anointed disciples, negating the idea that all partakers have to have an assured heavenly destiny.
