by venus inwhen i suffered some loss what jesus said came to my mind: “if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.” (mathew 5:40) principle behind this statement made flash to me: ‘here shirt is only a symbol of material things/comfort.
if you suffer a loss, have the mind-set that i have no problem even if i suffer some greater loss,’ and my worry immediately disappeared.
whether jesus was a historical figure or not matters not if what he (supposedly) said happens to be of great practical help..

Is there anything recent in the publications about Jesus only being the ransom for annointed?
by NikL ini was trying to find something recent that i can show "still ins" in my sphere but it is proving harder than anticipated.. most of what i am seeing is couched in confusing goblygook wt style prattle.. my wife argues that it's not even true and i think that's the case with most jaydubs.. so i guess if it is a teaching that is being allowed to fade, maybe it's not worth pursuing?.
any of you scholars out there got anything recent clear and handy?.

so, it comes down to the WT's definition of "Spiritual Israel" or [Israel of God]
wt: The "12 tribes of Israel" of Math.19, & Rev.7 are the Earthly Subjects of the kingdom, but they are not The "anointed" Israel of God. so we have:
a) Spiritual Israel without it's full 12 tribes, and b) 12 other Tribes of Israel, that are not part of the Israel of God, --well, that is wt weirdness for you.
Jesus' "ransom" , "mediation" is effective immediately for the small wt Israel of God, but only in 1000+ years for the 12 tribes. -- wt trivia,

very insightful comment. The sealing of the 144 000 goes on since Pentecost. The hope of a "New Earth" was part and parcel of the first century hope, there must have always been non-sealed Christians among the billions of partakers that ever lived. or?
Jesus served the emblems (symbols of forgiveness of sin) to non-sealed / un-anointed disciples, negating the idea that all partakers have to have an assured heavenly destiny.

Wt also consistently has identified the "12 Tribes of Israel" in every instance of the NT as the "Earthly, not anointed Class", yet maintains that they are not in the "New Covenant", not mediated by the "Greater Moses" JC.
A demotion, de-classification if ever there was one!
Wt has even stooped lower, by declaring the OS to be strangers, aliens grasping at the fringes of the one that is a "jew". An indirect reference to them not being in the New Covenant, that after all is for forgiveness of sins.
Other Sheep, your sins are unforgiven.

Jesus made the New Covenant with followers that were natural Jews, but not "anointed.
Wt's fallacy is that they confuse the New Covenant with the Kingdom Covenant, in their "Anointed vs Other Sheep" version anyway.
All of Israel was in the Old Covenant, not just the Kings/Priests, and WT's failure to incorporate that in their "anti type", confusing at it is, serves them well in their domination over the Rank and File, that are never good enough, ever working on their treadmill.
In their "Jesus/mediator" doctrine, wt mirrors the Catholic dogma, that allows for the "Saints" or anointed, to be the direct purveyors of prayers,benefits between God and supplicants.

1914 is the Key !

it is a thought that occurred to me as i read the wt rag that i took to be polite.. it is the public one about the 4 horseman, and it struck me that they are still 100% reliant on their false 1914 doctrine to hang everything on.. if 1914 is proved wrong, what can the credibility of their doomsday message hang on ?.
we all know how to disprove the old 2520 years nonsense, but they seem to at last be hiding that, and simply claiming that world events prove jesus slung the devil out of heaven in 1914.. so, what has that old devil done since 1914, 103 years ago ?.

MASH: and still is, because no matter who the GB declares to be "the generation", normal people live alongside them. WT would need today at least 2 million faithful, surviving members over a 104 year old, to be the true prophet (spokesmen, F7DS) that "Jesus" chose in 1919. The "anointed" ploy was perhaps to make the 1914 generation irrelevant to the current R&F., it is a continuing betrayal.

Who knows, the Russians are Chess players, May be Mr Putin heard about all these recent JW letters, acknowledging his power, and he is awarding this couple with a medal for it?. and the secret of the Novik family? well with 8 kids, there was never much money for papa's drink, besides the watchful eyes of Wt elders, and Mrs. Novik? well, with her size there was little chance that she would put up with the wife beatings so common in Putin's realm.
