Jehovah witnesses and life insurance

my wife was recently cornered by the elders about her blood card because she didn't have one.

so one elder witnessed her sign it and he signed it and one elder made himself her health care agent.. with the memorial coming up i am thinking of maybe having a life insurance policy drawn up, maybe in the amount of 300 or 400 dollars a month and i will ask these two dipshits if they would like to sign it.

it only seems fair they should be finicially responsible for my son since they made my wife sign a document endangering her safety.. what do you think?.

I though the whole taking part in the emblems was about making a public declaration that you were a Christian, thus you were part of the new covenant.

I was just googling a commentary on a verse John 12 41 about who did Isiah in the old testament see and what is being referred too.

A found a paper by Gregg Stanford with a 21 page response how it was jehovah not Jesus. Trying to read it was looking into the mind of a mad man.

Some of this stuff literally borders on mental illness.

but i just learned something about it.. i try to look at different translations of the bible and the lexham english bible words it a bit different.... 16 for in this way god loved the world, so that he gave his one and only son, in order that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but will have eternal life.

hi, i want to leave my personal opinion on the matter of russian government's banning on the activity of jehovah's witnesses in their territory.

i think it's more or less important because bearing a certain opinion is related with the quality of life.

I just love the fact elders are going to be called into backroom meetings , harassed and have secret files made about there activities by the russian police. I really hope the irony isn't lost on them.

The part I hate is boy this is going to encourage the ubers like nothing we have seen in our lifetime. Every fucking week it's going to be double field service for our poor Russian brothers under restrictions and the money they are going to be begging for. Yuck

I am not trying to start an argument about the trinity.

The great point I am trying to make is when I studied with the elders and asked my questions, all I got was bombarded with literature. It was like being attacked by an octopus releasing a cloud of ink.

" what the new convanent is why we are not included in it ".

" why Jesus is just a god in John 1 "

" what the phrase visible image of the invisible god really means ".

so on and so on. I soon realized either the elders I were studying with were really really lazy or generally didn't really understand what they were trying to explain.

Now my question here is when you were in , did you understand the incredibly complex and twisted explanations of the WTS or did those briefcase full of books just make you sleep better at night.

The point I was trying to make , wherever there is a verse in the bible concerning the diety of Christ, there are entire websites dedicated to deconstructing each verse. It's either not what the author meant or a corrupt rendering of the verse.

Now the fun part is trying to read some of these explanations. They are insanity twisted andr ridiculously complex. All about the same level of the societies explanation of how long a generation is.

Has anyone looked at any of these explanations or am I just stupid?

I do believe Jesus being a physical manifestation of God in the flesh in both the old and new really holds more credibility if the scriptures are sincerely studied.
