  @Cofty: you would think stuff like that would haunt you forever. Maybe it happens too often to be memorable. Or, there could be another reason. Or both. Towards the end of that video, I wanted to put his head in a vise to help refresh his memory. But that's just me...

  my wife and i planned on fading but the elders now want a shepherding call and we are just done.

  i know that many play the game to try to stay in, but i'm not a game player and neither is my wife.

  our families already shun us because we reached out to a disfellowshipped family member.

  I have a slightly different spin for possibly wanting to do this. In general, I agree with the fact that I don't have to do anything. I'm done. But, I want to be able to tell the people in my community (small village in Poland) that I am not one of them any longer and show them my 'resignation' letter.

  Ron got totally owned. Check out the moment at 32 minutes in. After reading the scripture from Deut about 2 witnesses, the Judge asks him about the context. Busted... It is all downhill from there.

  AUSTRALIA - All large JW Regional Conventions cancelled for 2015

  now we know why the governing body of jehovah's witnesses cancelled all the major regional conventions of jehovah's witnesses for 2015 and are only holding smaller conventions at the jw assembly halls.

  "imitate jesus" convention series australia schedule .

  interestingly the first round of regional conventions are due this weekend in the jw assembly halls in sydney (new south wales), melbourne (victoria), and brisbane (queensland).

  Also a stroke of luck that they changed the label from District Convention (DC) to Regional Convention (RC) some time back. Now, when someone asks where is Brother Bigstuff, his handler can honestly say he is at the RC (Royal Commission).

  @oppostate again. The anger is something I really need to get a handle on. Not good. I need to explain to my wife why I have been so angry and then move on. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone else to talk to except the kind people here. I know it is not fair to her. This is not her fault.

  Nice response oppostate. In so many ways we were stunted, not just emotionally. I'm glad to be free, but the realization that since I'll be 58 this month. i don't have a lot of time left to do it my way.

  Please. Everyone start going thru the 'exhibits' documents posted at the RC website. There is a ton of treasure there waiting to be brought to light. Currently downloading all the pdf's now for later review.

  in the australian royal commission, the issue of appointment of ministerial servants and elders came up for intense scrutiny.. using the elders books and society publication references, the prosecution questioned the premise that "holy spirit directs appointments".

  the question was proposed as to whether this "process was accurate or was it flawed" seeing as many appointed ones were in fact not very righteous, or "spiritual".

  indeed, the issue about "spirituality" was also raised, and the definition of what makes someone "spiritually mature" in the organisation's eyes was raised.

  @Vidiot: Yes, but later (after the pain wears off) they will brag about how they slew the dragon and will be viewed as local heros of truth.

  Personally, I'd like to be a fly on the wall at the bar where the commission team heads to after a session with the JW's. Can you imagine the bewilderment and disdain for all things JW they must have?
