Name some must have rock records
by Leander ini've spent a lot of time on allmusic.com and it amazes me how much nirvana is mentioned when the reviewers rate other albums.
so its a no brainer that nirvana's work should probably have a place in every rock collection, but what are some other albums every rock fan should listen to if not own.

This was yeeeeears ago but I recall at the service meeting some "brother" giving a Q&A part about finding satisfaction in the door to door ministry. He asked some question (can't recall it) but he calls on a self-righteous / wacko elder (brother ken R...you know who you are) who begins his comment with "It's just like the Rolling Stones song 'I Can't Get No Satisfaction' "... There was dead silence in the Hall, which was then broken with the laughter of my brother and myself along with finger pointing and "what a dork" comments. lol

I also wondered about this passage. One thing that I do recall when talking to others about it a while back was that the angels and Satan weren't actually in God's presence. I also remember reading other Bible translations and they were differnt then the NWT.

WHY OLD AGE IS DANGEROUS IN GB MEMBERS
by Liberty inafter reading a topic critical of our poking fun at the watchtower society's ancient governing body i could not help but be reminded of the stupid pronouncments that this aged state induces when the gb claim to be "spirit directed" by god.
most of the goofy "the end is near" disappointments which have ruined so many lives over the years among the watchtower's cult members are due to the desire of those in charge to see their "end time hopes" fulfilled before they died.. russel was an old man near death as he pushed hard that the end must be in 1914. rutherford was dying of cancer in the 1940's as he pushed hard for wwii being the sure sign of armageddon's start.
fred franz pushed 1975 for the same reasons knowing that his own time was limited.

Help! Is it possible to earn a living under 40 hrs
by Leander inon a few posts here and there i've noticed some of the people on the board have been able to create their own careers without working the dreaded fulltime hours.
i've been wanting to do this for years but i don't have a clue as to how to get started.
i've really wanted to get into the field of real estate development.

One thing to keep in mind when approaching government agencies for loans or grants to start a business. What they are going to look for is "what is in it for us" meaning return on their invest in the form of taxes. They'll want to know if your venture will create jobs for people in the community.
So while not encouraging you to lie, you might not want to state that you're only looking to start a business to employ only yourself. -

What's the one thing you miss about the WTS?
by Naeblis inthere are times when ilook back fondly on my days in the witnesses, especially when i think on the congregation get togethers we would have every once in awhile (not too often) people from our hall and sometimes others would show up (not too many) and good times were had by all.
this is how the schedule usually went.. 8pm: arrive at the community centre.
8:05pm: scope the room.

I miss bothering people at their homes on Saturday morning. God, nothing more enjoyable then knocking on someone's door to peddle your beliefs and seeing that look of joy on the person face as you share the truth with them. Ah, those were the days.
