Actually, what commie chris said is true. The guys at the gym that are ripped not only lift everyday but they reps until their muscles fail. A little too intense for me. I want to keep on looking like a linebacker not Arnold.

Leaner,
I'm definately not a body builder but I do go to the gym at lunch time every day. I find that lifting on Tues. & Thurs. and running on Mon. Wed & Fri works best. If you lift everyday you fit a "wall." Not sure how serious you are but I find free weights to be better then the machines.
Kind funny chatting about weight lifting here on JW.com lol

Why Religious People Should Not Be Allowed Power!

>>Fantastic! This is owerwhelming evidence religion is a great peace tool!
Don’t recall saying that. All I’m saying is that my kids and I go to church once a week, sit there for a one hour sermon (this week was about the rich man and Lazurus and how we should treat all people with kindness) then we left. What’s wrong with that? Kent, I enjoy your web site a lot and appreciate your hard work in exposing the WT but your anti-religion preaching is almost as bad as the WT’s.
I recall reading an article in the Chicago Tribune a while back noting that kids brought up with religious beliefs and who attended church regularly were less likely to get in trouble with the law. My personal observation agree with this. In general, kids brought up with BALANCED religious views are better off then those who aren’t. -

I'm sure that all the non-religious people in the world would never do such a thing, oh wait, Cambodia and China come to mind. Darn.

Bizarre Urban Myth...have you heard it?
by Preston ini remember a couple of years ago when i was out in field service i heard a story (haven't we all) about a district convention in california where the speaker was invited to give a talk, and as he was standing before the platform, he unexpectedly began to tell a slurry of sex jokes, profanities, and stories about his sex life.
everyone in attendance was shocked, and after he was removed from speaking, an elder had to inform the audience that what happened was completely unexpected and uncalled for.
being that i was a jw at the time i had no use for critical thinking, so i thought every word of it was true.

>>"I don't know why I'm telling you this. I don't even believe it."
And walked off the stage, gathered his krap, and left the hall.<<
Even though I am da'd, I still receive calls every once in a great while from a "brother" asking me to give a Sunday talk. I guess my name is still on a few speaker lists. I wish I had the guts to have him schedule me, go their Hall and do what you just said (or maybe do the dropped pants routine!) LOL!

Could someone help me research a few things?
by Leander ini've heard that the society has changed information in their volumes/cd's from what was originally printed.
can someone give me a few examples of this?.
i'm also looking for scriptural information about the disciples and their misunderstanding of jesus teachings.
-

Leaner,
One thing to look at. How many issues did the disciples misunderstand AFTER the promised holy spirit came? None. The only issue that comes close is some thinking that the apostle John might live forever based upon what Jesus said. However, there isn't one instance where the "governing body" misunderstood Bible teachings. Can't say the same thing about the Society.

finding friends outside the Borg - a Scary thought
by lydia inhas anyone else found that the teaching of the "outside world" being a "bad association" limits your involvement and ability to make new freinds?.
if so how have you overcome this and any suggestions to helping those suffering from these feelings?.

>>look at you like you are batty huh roy???<<
Yeah, but Billygoat is right. With each passing day the JW "programming" becomes less and less a part of me. I now have friends who never even had any idea that I was a JW.
