  About the JW Russian action

  what i don't get about the russian petition action:.

  watchtower launched at march, 21 the petition action.. in the instructions they write it can take 14 days for postal arrival in russia.. on april, 5 they expect legal clarification from the supreme court.. so, conclusion: the letters will arrive just around the day of clarification.. conclusion: this action is planned for media impact only.

  if it was to make judges think, (what they don't do on a petition cry), .

  It could be effective when there were made concessions. Like between China and the Watchtower during the 90's, when the Watchtower changed their definition of the word "Kingdom", for negotiation with the government.

  This is similar to what Watchtower did in Mexico to maintain ownership of the kingdom halls when laws were passed that all religious buildings became state property for the benefit of the community. This did not affect worship but meant Watchtower could never flip the buildings for profit. Watchtower changed the building purpose and then gave the impression they were an education center (building). They also dropped the singing of songs.

  Prison chaplain.

  i'm rather gobsmacked to hear that an elder in my ex congregation has been appointed a prison chaplain (in the uk).

  the reason for my disbelief, is that, this particular prison is for "schedule 1" offenders - covering sex crimes, child abuse/paedophilia and even downloading child pornography.

  the reason for my reaction is that he has at least 9 "disciples" who have a bible study but i cannot help but think that when they are released, they will be part of a congregation, where they will have access to children and vulnerable people?

  Are congregations in Spain suffering an increase in banking fees since Watchtower 'seized' their bank savings?

  remember a few years ago watchtower literally 'siezed' all individual congregation bank savings around the world above what was needed to cover basic kingdom hall monthly expenses?

  a new march 30, 2017, boe letter has just gone out to congregations in spain, which, more or less, explains that congregations bank account funds no longer entitle congregations to reduced banking fees.

  A new March 30, 2017, BOE letter has just gone out to congregations in Spain, which, more or less, explains that congregations bank account funds no longer entitle congregations to reduced banking fees. (See copy of actual paragraph below.)

  
  

  The letter asks "What is the cause?" Note that the very next sentence does not actually answer the question but rather makes a general comment on what the reader already knows about the world of finance. It says "As you know, sitnificant changes have taken place in the overall financial situation." It does not explain what these changes are. It could be anything. The rest of the letter explains that 1,900 individual congregational bank acoounts, which were drained of funds, no longer qualify for zero or low fees.

  As if the JWs in Spain don't have enough problems as it is.

  does anyone know what the publisher totals were for 2015 compared to 2016 for australia?

  i can't find them anywhere and was wondering if the royal commission hearing had any effect on the numbers.
