  The real reason the Watchtower Magazine is studied

  Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same? After all, the slave has shown itself to be faithful in doing its assigned work. For example, the Watchtower magazine has been published for some 130 years.

  Interestingly the faithful and discreet slave no longer believe what they themselves wrote as quoted above. The article implies that the fds were responsible for printing The Watchtower magazines for at least 130 years prior to 2009, which brings it back to 1879.

  The fds currently claim they were appointed and first appeared in 1919, which was actually 90 years earlier to 2009. Also in 2009 the fds taught they were a class of people that were alive at all points of human history right back to the 1st century. They don't believe that anymore as well.

  How can anyone, let alone jehovah or Jesus, completely trust the faithful and discreet when, evidently, they don't even know who they are themselves.

  On the other hand, jehovah and Jesus, and everyone else can completely trust the faithful and discreet slave to get it wrong doctrinally and scripturally. Maybe this is what the Watchtower statement was really saying.

  Smiddy - one of the key points I discussed with Prime Minister Gilliard, in relation to holding a Child Abuse Royal Commission, was that under Australia's Medicare laws the taxpayer was actually funding the professional help given to victims of abuse and not the institutions. This was potentially 100's of millions every year. Fiscal Policy. Make the organisations who committed the abuse, or who failed to report the abuse, financially liable. Now, under the redress scheme, when formalised, these organisations will be liable. This is what the JWs and Watchtower and the governing body were so terrified of when they instructed Terrence O'Brien to challenge the redress scheme in the final ARC hearing involving the JWs.

  Can any of us go public

  Well, you don't give info to JW Leaks and expect it not to go public. On the other hand, all relevant JW information has been published on the ARC website. My job is done.

  If I remember correctly I provided the ARC with some 6800 pages of internal Watchtower and JW documents. I also provided a damning entire audio recording of a secret child abuse judicial hearing involving the alleged perpetrator and the teenage child victim. This took place in Australia. This judicial investigation, and secret hearing, was run by Watchtower Australia and their lawyer Vincent Toole. Watchtower flew in their child abuse handling team to conduct the entire hearing. Absolutely sickening, dehumanising and obscene in the extreme. It is probably the only recording of an official Watchtower sanctioned JW child abuse investigation in existence.

  Brokeback Watchtower - Im sure a lot of these talks about tight pants given by Tony have the entire Governing Body backing if not? Why can't they shut this guy up? Maybe most agree with him or tolerate him?

  Hard to silence a GB member when one needs his vote to change doctrine. I can just imagine the GB meeting discussing this problem.

  JACKSON: Listen up Tony. Enough of your tight pants. People are starting to talk. It's becoming embarrasing. The rest of us Guardians Of Doctrine want you to loosen up and drop the tight pants.

  LETT: Sit down Tony, it was an illustration. Tony, we let you publish that article decrying tight pants in the Watchtower. Heck, we even let you have all the young brothers at Bethel model tight pants for you so you could chose the young brother you wanted portrayed in the magazine.

  SPLANE: Don't forget we also allowed you to travel to Italy to do research into the tight pants trend.

  TONY: But tight pants are designed by homosexuals. And we know that homosexuals are responsible for child abuse. And that child abuse in rampant among congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. It's the work of Satan. You all saw the video I made on that.

  SANDERSON: Tony, Tony, Tony. We all need hobbies and interests. But tight pants, really? This is becoming an obsession. Geoffrey, can you pass the gravy when your finished with it. This deep fried whole chicken is delicious.

  HERD: Tony, we sent you to the Caribbean for a holiday to help you overcome your obsession with young men who wear tight pants. And what do you do? You get up in front of a great crowd and twirl on the stage like you were Elvis in King Creole. Then you again rave on about tight pants.

  LOSCH: Please Tony, stop the twirling.

  TONY: You should talk Gerrit. You, your lederhosen and the spanking board.

  JACKSON: Enough! This is a warning Tony. No more twirling. No more tight pants. No more hot dog illustrations. Enough. For God's sake Tony, most men in Trinidad and Tobago don't even wear pants.

  does this allow for honesty and accountability?

  does this assist in ensuring that whatever is presented is as factual as possible, or not biased in some way toward the religion's ideas?.

  doubtfull1799 - So what Im saying is that by the time the article I wrote actually gets published it has been butchered so much (not just edited) that it may be barely recognisable as my article anymore. Paragraphs here and there may be the same and that is all.

  You're in great company. Watchtower does the exact same thing to the bible writers.

  "May I have a copy of the 'Child-safegaurding policy' letter please?"

  so as we all know, the australian royal commission has it on record that a "child safegaurding policy" document was produced hurriedly at the tail end of the australian royal commission.. the commission was told by the society representatives that this would be "freely available to all congregants and interested people".. the commission quizzed the brothers as to whether it would "be freely handed out, or simply handed to those who requested it".

  either way, it was to be freely available.. so imagine the surprise of one our fellow faders who attended a kh yesterday to ask for a copy!.

  she politely and respectfully asked the brother at the door for a copy.
