Add to the 821 legal entities the following:
- Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of Australia Ltd (branch office)
- Watchtower Travel Ltd (a travel company that is set up allowing it to receive financial kickbacks from conventions and hotel accomodation)
- Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses Ltd (set up in up 2013 to deflect child abuse lawsuits and to protect the assets - this corporation is operated differently from the corporation of the same name registered in the USA)
By having each congregation registered this means the three elders who are registered as trustees have accepted all legal responsibility on behalf of Watchtower and the governing body.
"Jehovah's Witnesses", the religion in itself, does not exist as a legal entity. Technically and legally speaking it exists only in the minds of people who claim they are 'Jehovah's Witnesses'.
