Is this doctrine still in in effect?
by WasOnceBlind inso something i never knew was the fact jw's were taught that jesus is only the mediator for the anointed class and not for everyone.
i only found this out after reading "crisis of conscience" and i was actually pretty shocked to learn so.
if that is the case, when they pray why even bother saying the words "in the name of jesus christ we ask"?

They even believe that the Bible was written ONLY for the 144000 anointed ones, for those who inherit the kindom. All others have to listen to the word or channel of mediators, the anointed ones.
So the bible is not understandable for everyone but only for the federal and discret slave class. The problem is that they teach at the same time since last month (see threads about David Splane) that between 100 A.D and 1919 A.D. there were no anointed ones or no discret slave class on earth, so nobody could interpret the bible before 1919 correctly, because nobody had the right attitude and could serve God as discret slave, But So the Bible survived and was copied and transmitted by the catolic church directly into the hands of the Watchtower Society by power of gods spirit although it had not the right attitude, but apparently enfough for copying the bible and keepint it as treasure..... until 1919.in 1919 they could correclty interprete it then in the watchtower headqaurter in new york finally.with the right attitude and understand that theyself are the faithful and discrete slave. but not yet fully undstanding everything about the matter, only the governing body since 1970 knows everything much better and since June 2015 David splane speculates again about the fact that there was no slave class before 1919 WOW......... endless mysteries begin to reveal.
God wrote the bible 33 Ad. and kept it over hundreds of years in the hand of a harlot not knowing when would be the right moment to make it understandble by the FDS-Class. Jesus did not know it, but FDS knows it ;-)

This is a heritage that the JW have togehter with adventists and other sects, and all these congregational chapels of protestant origin love those pictures. The pope and CC as babylon and antichrist or similar stuff.

All what we know about Christianty whe heritated from Catolic Church, without CC we had no Christian faith today, without CC we had no Bible, because they were the copyists, we would be perhaps Actec, inkas, native americans, ethnic germans, celts and so on and would have our own old religion. Some cults remained, but the most have been dishonoured by exegeratted fanatism of christians similar to the JW fanatism who war saying that catolic church is the most evil in the world, together with christianity. and will be innihilated within short time in armageddon, the clery first as the current Watchtowers write. but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?
why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?

Viviane, hi.i read that greek was the lingua franca, like english today in the region, some type of aramean was spoken as daily language, hebrew was only used in the worship.... so jesus must have spoken greek .. i think. -

According to the best cholars the variations in the text that are appearing in manuscripts, payri or pergament or later codices have many reasons and are a wonderful tool to study the history of "new testament" /greek scriptures history. The variations can be idfentified and are absolutely not destorying the text undertanding.
Why are you citing words of jesus if you are not sure about errors at all? Which variations are basis of the todays bible text has been studied by hundreds of bible scholars in the history, the todays translations are reliable enough to understand the text. -

Thanks for the links. It provided the link to Splane's morning worship talk.
The GB still believe that there were anointed on earth throughout the last 1900 years but if they were not qualified to provide spiritual food then how did they become anointed? This means that during those 1900 years the anointed did not need to know bible truths, including the requirement to preach to others. On what basis did God select them in order to anoint them?
Surely, if those individuals were anointed by God during this period of time without the need to receive or pass on spiritual food or the need to be part of an earthly organization (or God's earthly organization) then there is no such requirement today for one to be selected to be anointed.
By giving this speech Splane is including Charles T Russel as being disqualified to be appointed as the FDS.
