I like to go the the Salvation Army thrift store and pick out the JW literature from the book section and give it to the Captain so it can be disposed of. It is kind of a hobby of mine.

I remember last December I went to a JW wing ding. It was for anyone under the age of 40. Lots of good food, played some games etc etc. I remember thinking, oh FFS this is a Christmas party. They even had the booze just flowing.
Yet my wife can’t come to my Christmas party at work. JWs really are some self-righteous pricks.

I remember one time having an argument with a witness and he was like “Why do families have to get to together only at Christmas, why can’t everyday be Christmas “. I told him it is because in the business working world families have limited time and it is a great time because most businesses are closed.
He was like “Oh, I never really thought of that “. We all know the real views of JWs on Christmas are more about trying place a wedge between you and your worldly family ( Allah I hate that word ).
Do JW do family reunions ?? I am guessing no.

That reminds me when I was about 12 years old, I was just shortly after christmas and people were throwing out their old christmas trees ( when people still used natural trees ). We took like 6-8 old rotten christmas trees and placed them on the Kingdom Hall lawn and decorated them with garbage. We even managed to get them to stand up.
We also christmas carolled a Kingdom Hall during a tuesday night meeting. They called the police. We just played dumb and pretended we didn't know.

I know there is a culture of a bullying and intimidation in each congregation. I know people who turn in slips with zero are treated differently. I know the panic that comes with each C.O visit.
When my wife was marked and no one go out into field service with her, I would drive the car and follow her though the neighbourhood. No way I was letting my wife knock on strange doors by herself. I see the way the people with UBMs are treated. No one offers to give a ride to an assembly, no one offers help moving, no one wants to have us over for supper.
It is the culture of a bullying and intimidation that got these women killed that was being enforced by thug elders. Just saying NO isn’t quite and as easy as you seem to think it is.
