They took me off microphones when I had not been out in the ministry for a few months, but when they needed a highly specialized and uncommon and skill for a building project, they we quick to call. I explained that I was not qualified to even hold a microphone, so "I don't see any way that I can help you".That felt so good.

Yes that’s also true of young brothers who are not baptised yet. Well the elders say he doesn’t qualify for microphones so obviously he doesn’t qualify for baptism

it’s pretty obvious by now that the real reason they told folks to stay home and use Zoom was because their charity status would have been threatened otherwise (there were a few cases in the news where a church wouldn’t comply, and that’s exactly what happened).

Since the Org’s business model needs its tax-exemption to stay in the black - i.e. its financial survival is dependent on it - they had no choice but to play ball…

This is also true about the clot shot. They had to say God wants you to have it as all religious leaders had to if they wanted to keep getting charitable status

What’s all that about someone confessing to something the elders should contact the branch?

is it the case that in the past the elders would have made a decision but now the branch makes the decision? And maybe if it is someone who knows someone if you know what I mean they they will let it slide?

Oh yes loads of little boys doing microphones they can only just see over the head of people sitting down.

how Does this make the men of all ages feel in the congregation who the elders feel don’t qualify for the microphone duty?

they will feel ok then I’m not bothered to do anything

Know it’s not true but stay anyway

how many of the millions of jws know it’s not true but stay anyway?.

my guess is most jws know it’s not true on a subconscious level to an extent but they don’t want to think about it too much and would never ever voice it out loud.. but this is probably true with all religions around the world?.

If you decide to stay in because you don't want to deal with the fallout from admitting that you do not believe, then do what you must. But don't call it agnostic.

No that is not right. I stay in because I’m agnostic. Maybe the Bibles promises will have some truth to them: I have hope that the Bibles promises will come true. But I’m agnostic

The new direction is if the person says they are repentant then that is enough.

Its gone from what the elders say to what the sinner says

Yes there are no real consequences now for going against direction. Sure elders may talk to you and you can just ignore them. It’s very hard to get announced that you are no longer a JW. Even if it comes to this it’s just a 90 day thing then the elders are begging you to come back

What if you decide not to do any heavy lifting? JW light means only very light lifting. Go to meetings if you feel like it, very seldom in person just stay on zoom most of the time.

go to ministry groups for the nice social aspect but don’t ever do door to door. This is what many are doing.

we sometimes see faces we haven’t seen for a long time, but they come and talk as if they are still part of the congregation and they are. I love this it is encouraging for everyone who wants to be JW lite.

Predictions for the next decade?

as it’s nearly the new year my prediction over the next decade or so will see the sense of urgency dwindle.

then some huge huge changes.

for example by 2034 in a decades time, they will have address the 1914 issue and will come out and say we can’t be dogmatic.

It’s easier than ever to do a half fade where you end up JW light.

some people haven’t been seen for months then they May appear on zoom or at the KH in person every now and then. Just to catch up with old friends.

these are all counted as JWs but they don’t believe it anymore.

my prediction is upto 50% of the 9 million reported JWs will be JW light soon. The other 50% are mixed between JW heavy which are the pioneer types and semi light who do act like they believe it all but secretly don’t.

Over the next decade things will get even easier with slackening off.

they will double down on saving and investing like in latest watchtowers telling people to put something aside for old age.

they will try to do whatever they can think of to stop the bleed of young people

it was probably in the last decade or so.

ive been trying to find the video i’m sure it was on lloyd evens and all the other similar channels when it was said.. i can’t remember which gb member said it.
