  Yes attending the meeting and ministry groups dark is a growing trend. They can’t stop it because so many elderly and infirm rely on zoom. They can’t police it saying you are well enough to attend in person. If someone says they are not well how can someone tell them they are wrong.

  Yes those on zoom ministry groups don’t do letter writing anymore. They don’t hand out territory like they used to in covid. I think they said something about writing letters to out through not at homes yourself . But nobody really does this as far as I know.

  I have noticed everything getting shorted. When I was young it was about 20 paragraphs that were deep and long winded.

  now it’s written for low IQ people

  A Modest proposal to solve the 1914 problem

  throughout watchtower history dates have been a problem.

  the usual solution for failed prophetic dates has been to kick the can down the road.

  this needs to be done with 1914. the generation that will never pass away is now 110 years old and therefore is past its useful life span.

  Another proposal to solve the 1914 problems would be to admit the men who thought that up have all died and the current GB have inherited this false doctrine.

  The truth is everything hinges on 1914. Everything. Elders pray in the name of our reigning king Jesus. They teach that Jesus started ruling in 1914, this was when he battled with Satan and the demons and threw him out of heaven.

  I think there is no way they could admit they were wrong about this and survive. All they can do is not talk about it and hope JWs are so stupid, hey this has worked for many decades.

  I think all the huge changes are a desperate attempt to stop the haemorrhaging.

  The wish the zoom can of worms was never opened but they had to for covid. Now they can’t take it away for the genuine old and infirm, but what if someone simply says they are too ill and needs to stay on zoom?

  All KHs are so empty these days and the GB are in panic mode. They are desperate to think of something try anything but latest attempts have made it even worse.

  I heard a young person in a congregation said “I don’t like that guy” when Steve Lett came on with the beard new light. His mother said “you can’t say that he is a member of the GB”

  but it sums up what young people think and once the older ones die off there won’t be many left

  The only official announcement was on the latest News section for a day or so. It was hard to spot and most missed it. It just said that it was announced to the bethel family that Am3 was no longer GB. If it’s good news they put it on a banner at the top for days Breaking news so you can’t miss it. If it’s not good news but they have to announce it they try to hide it.

  The only other way to know he has been removed is slowly deleting every picture or video he has been in. It’s taking a while because he has obviously been on a lot over the decades.

  Gorb you are right. Soon it will be that we always said some non JWs will make it, even though this is not the truth. WTowers have said for decades that only baptised will make it, but all the dead will be resurrected unless they were really bad. This is why Br Jackson said “we know you were hoping your loved ones would die before Armageddon”

  the old light made no sense. But this new light changes everything. What is the point of the ministry now? What is the point of getting baptised?

  Maybe it is a PR professional team coming up with this new light to slow the bleeding.
