  Not viewed as a JW if not reported for 6 months?

  hi, i seem to remember that the society have said that you are not viewed as a witness if you have not reported for 6 months.. does this ring any bells?

  someone i know has been called for a judicial, even though she has said she doesn’t believe and is not not attending meetings and hasn’t for 6 months.what she did was 12 months ago when she was a witness.. she is not sure whether she should turn up or not, as turning up shows she thinks she answers to elders still.

  but also doesn’t want to be automatically disfellowshipped which may happen if she doesn’t turn up.. if there is an article to quote saying someone inactive isn’t seen as a witness, this would be helpful.. any thoughts?.

  sparrowdown- She did come from a large influential witness family mind you and local witnesses patronized the business that could well have inflenced their decision because she was definitely known as a witness by the community at large.

  How Ironic. I was just an hour ago thinking about an ex jw friend that her and husband owned a restaurant. They would cater large holiday events. Her entire family are well known and "model" jws. Not even a slap on the wrist. Drinking every night and plays poker last time I talked with her 11 years ago. Makes and sells lots of mums for friends for football games. Son on football team, daughter a cheer leader. But ALL the men in her family are elders or MS. What hypocrisy.

  She frequently talks to DFed people. And even goes so far as to say that "there nothing that would be done to her and her husband". Im thinking based on our conversations that 2 of the 6 elders in her family PIMO and she has some major dirt on them.

  I cant recall many JC meetings in that town of 10-12 congs or so that didnt have one of her relatives presiding on a JC. She knows all the dirt on the people in the congs in her local area. Brags about it. Cusses like a sailor. I just dont get it. If I did that........

  The last time we talked I decided to shun her. lol. Not worth my time.

  Where’s the Anger Toward Child Abuse

  they can smash a glass expressing their disdain for higher education.

  where is their anger over child abuse or domestic violence?

  these are actually issues worthy of anger and even a violent display in order to gain attention.

  What child abuse? They don't acknowledge it. If they do then it seems the child made it up.

  Remember that kingdom melody "they are gifts from god, he says use the rod" .

  I was told to be thankful Im was not getting stoned to death like children who disobeyed in old times. I cant be the only one that heard that.

  Carts on both ends of the farmersmarket

  my wife and me have a booth at the local framers market.

  there is usually about 12 t0 14 vendors each week on a small short street in town.

  what is funny on each end of this short street are cart setups with 3 people on each cart.

  User99-It looks like the JWs found a new, convenient use for the wheels on their carts. You never know when you’ll need to escape quickly!

  Maybe they should invest in self propelled carts for a faster get away. LOL

  I had forgotten that this song was something that I really felt towards the jws until this last week or so. Ive been listening to it a lot this week. Super personal to me.

  here are the lyrics and I think you'll know what I mean.

  Before she was really popular. I didnt like the super mainstream stuff she put out simply because she seemed to lose a bit the unique edge she had.

  translatedit was when i was around ten years old that i noticed the other kids did not receive the jw style physical abuse like i did.some people use belts, power cords.

  my mother had two types of belts and let me choose between “narrow belt” and “wide belt”.

  Sigh... I used to get beat ALL.THE.TIME. For no reason it seems. Very violent jw Great aunt(raised me from 41/2 to 12. The beatings stopped at 11 when I found the only way to make them stop. - I started making loud sex noises with every lash. I would numb my body to the pain for the longest time but never cry out.

  One incident before the last beating came while we were in the barn. She grabbed a leather strap to hit me and I was already 6ft tall and I shoved her so hard it made her fly thru the air and it scared the both of us. But I had already quite enough!!! Emotional, physical, sexual abuse. I finally snapped.

  Good for this gal using her experience as a jw youth and channeling it into something that might really help people.

  someone you looked up to some who did something amazing?.

  i live in new zealand and 1 of mine is sir edmound hillary,a great yet humble man.. he and tenzing norgay were the 1st to reach the top of mt everest.it went to the grave with both of them who put there foot on top 1st,neather of them reviled that.. he did alot for the sherpa's of napal making sure they were payed well for their work as well as setting up schools there.. he came to my school and gave a speech then walked around the play ground talking to us children,his phone number was in the phone book and he would talk to anyone that rang him partially children doing a project on everest.. the british tryed to say that mallory and irvine may have made it to the top of everest years before,hillarys reply.....they may have but i made it down again.. karter..

  Buck Brannaman. Horseman great bio. I have been wanting to go to one of his clinics. His daughter teaches at the Uof montana Colt breaking. He lives in Sheridan WY. (mild obsession)

  George Sanders. deceased, That voice! I find him fascinating.

  George Burns. deceased. What a guy.

  George Bush the 2. ( Ive met him and I think he is a nice down to earth person, not afraid to get his hands dirty, super cool attitude about life)

  Ashley Judd. (multi talented) (humanitarian causes)

  The real heroes for me are the people that I have meet along the way in life that were just kind people, just because they were/are. For me that is quite enough to warrant hero status.

  Look at all those angels with beards.Those golden thrones would hurt my arse.

  The dove is looking a bit anorexic.

  Ugg, just about a new jesus every time they draw him. This one is pretty buff. And one nipple is slightly higher than the other.

  I personally dont think it looks Christendomy. To me it looks like a wtbs jesus.

  I love farmers markets. Ive set up and sold jewelry (handmade) and paintings. Anyway, if I saw a cart at one Id be irritated.

  There was one outside a large chain grocery store where I used to live and the manager was a jw, They were there a month and then the people in town started a petition complaining about it and he got in trouble with corporate. So the story goes.

  Cobweb- Did she say that was her father in law at the cart ? Wow! She has nerve and that is awesome. They sure left fast. Can they not defend there organization? LOL. POOF "holy spirit gone"! Its funny, doesnt the bible say 'Where two are more are gathered in my name'? They couldn't stand the pressure of one person?

  More 'Dead can Dance'. When I first heard this group I was 20 and still a jw. I thought they were demon possessed LOL. But I couldnt stop listening to them. They have such an ethrical neo romanticism sound that is entrancing.
