Now THIS is cute, eh?
I dance to everything, sort of silly, I get hyper.
But I also am learning how to belly dance, and occasionally, I go to the club and dance to the techno.

did you ever date a dub-ya or a nondub in secret while active?
i did, with a ms who said we had to keep our relationship on the down low 'cause he was being considered for the big e and he didn't want the brothers and the c.o to quesiton his personal life, now that's code for 'i don't want the elders to know i'm making out on non-meeting nights!
Tink: My guy is more complicated than a girl :( so much emotion sometimes!
Pam: At 19, maybe being kicked out of your parents house was a good thing? I was booted out at 17, not so bad either, forced me to go to college, get a job, etc. best thing ever.
victorian sky has a great thread on music.

it got me thinking, about tv shows, anything in particular you were told not to watch, being a little kid in the 70's i do remember hearing shows from the platform that we should not watch.
I grew up in the 90's.
I was not allowed to watch the Simpsons...then my mom actually sat with me, watched the show, and SHE LOVES IT.
Then, The Highlander...mom watched it, and it became her favorite show.
Then, The X-Files. My sister and I would sneak watching it, my mom was at work. Then my moms work schedule changed, we told her to give the show a chance, and guess what? She loves the show.
I have always watched Will and Grace. That show, I love. I would watch that, and mom would laugh at it also. Now, I would be uncomfortable to watch it with my mom, I am bisexual, and I can not come out to her, I am scared.
Well, in addition to that, I went to the movies (secretly) to watch The Matrix. Well, it was such a good movie, even though it was rated "R" I felt that my mom would LOVE it (we have the same tastes) and maybe wouldn't notice it was R (becuase it really didn't have a lot of R-like features.). Anyway, I convinced her that the magical DVD's allowed you to change the rating of the movie, like it bleeped out swears or something, and borrowed the DVD to watch it with her at my uncles house with his incredibly large screen TV and sorround sound (you could feel the explosions in your ass). She loved the movie, And maybe a month later, I told her it was R. She was mad about that...but she said that the movie didn't seem to be R, and then shes all like "oh we have to decide for ourselves what movies are good". haha sure... Well she got my elder dad to watch the movie...he fell asleep..oops.

I dated guys in school a lot, I do not think I was really ever single for long since 8th grade. It was fun, nothing much happened, I really could be trusted in that reguard. I would just tell them that my parents were really strict and super religious and that the consequences were dire if I got caught. Most of the time, they understood, but after being with them for more than a month, it would become evident that hardly being able to see eachother, to secretly talk on the phone, to sneak out, etc...was not healthy, but it was my way to try and hold on to a normal existance and develop as a person.
Only once have I dated a JW. I feel that most JW men are sexist assholes. The guy I dated was not, at all...we actually talked about marriage, and he was very much a feminist and beleived that what they watchtower teached about women was completely misguided and false (and served to make the men feel important). We broke up though, lived 2 states away, I really regret not keeping in touch with him though, he is a great guy.
At this point in time, I am deeply involved and in love, but lately, things are not right, we seem to fight so much. If this current relationship ends, I have promised myself to not date for a while, and then to only date women. Men are so complicated sometimes...
NOTE TO JWBOT AND TO ALL LADIES - Grow up. Learn to work the toilet seat. If it is up, put it down.
It was a joke, calm down. And, GROW UP, LEARN TO WORK THE TOILET SEAT, IF IT IS DOWN, PUT IT UP!
i was thinking today about a certain poster who seems to have a hard time dealing with anyone who does not embrace his point of view.
he appears to be one of those big, very good looking men who is use to having people pander to him.
y-all know the type, pretty-boy, who the ladies, starting with momma, always think is wonderful no matter what stupid thing he does or says.
I think the "women suck up to both sexes" is somewhat true, not of all women though.
For me, I am sexually attracted to women...so yeah, I will suck up to them ;)
