  our anniversary (27 years)is this weekend.

  i've rented a place that has beach access and a hottub (on whidbey island for those in the seattle area).

  Heres something my hubby did that was very romantic!
  He surprised me with a Lemo ride and took me to see Phantom Of the Opera.

  p.s. It gets better. There was champayne anc chocholats waiting for me in the Lemo.
  We've been married for almost 19 yrs and that was my favorite one so far.

  The room with hot tub is a great start! I was thinking along the same lines as Blondie.
  Nice dinner out or candle lit dinner in room. Music, dim lighting, flowers, a sweet card,
  A small gift is great especially if it’s a piece of jewelry. Top this off with your undivided attention.

  No power tools!!! None of those practical stuff men like so much.
  A personal gift is best for an anniversary.

  "GET THE WBTS OUT OF THE UN" Pickets

  since it has been several years since i attended an assembly/convention, i don't know if some of you folks are still picketing such, .

  the upcoming special assembly this sunday would seem to be a great opportunity to spread this un issue to the jw r&f.. can't you just hear the "buzz" in the hallways:.

  "why are the apostates holding signs saying, 'get the wbts out of the un'"?.

  I'm pissed that you expect us to behave the way you want us to then have nothing relevent to add to this thread yourself!

  Now back to the subject,
  I think this picketing idea is very interesting and would love to participate and hear experiences of anyone who has an opportunity to do this.

  Everyone,
  Please don’t let negitive JW responses to this UN info discourage you from getting the truth out. Most will make excuses or dismiss it as a lie.
  That’s okay though. The information is stored in their minds for future reference.
  I know this from personal experience. I used to make excuses for WT all the time.
  I think everyone has a breaking point or last straw. These things just keep piling up and will prove useful when that time comes.
  All that info I stored up over the years came back to me when I reached my last straw.
  Those things help a person to feel more resolved about their decision to get out of the org.
  I’m expecting some responses to the letters I sent out yesterday. Sadly I feel like I just burnt a bunch of bridges. Most of them will cut me off.It's a risk I was willing to take because I want to help as many as I can.

  Yes, the Wt is afraid the rank and file may stumble on the real truths about their organization!
  So they demonize the internet causing many to be afraid of it.
  It's sad because we know who's minds are really blinded.

  would all those who have access to the revelation climax book, please refer to page 258, ch 35, para 21. for those without access to the publication, i shall paraphrase the pertinent sentences:.

  "yes, the nations will use the scarlet-colored wild beast, the united nations, in destroying babylon the great".

  Funny!
  Is the Bethelite saying that they are checking into how they've accidentaly been a NGO with the UN for 10 years?
  Only a JW will believe that.
  My mom would buy it, hook line and sinker!!

  Martial arts training

  i have been considering taking some self defense training for some time and with recent events this has moved up on my priority scale.. any suggestions on which type of martial arts would be best for a complete beginner.

  i have never been in a fight in my life, have always talked my way out of trouble in the past.

  but think its time to prepare myself for more.. thanks.

  I consider self defense off and on too.
  I never really figured out what to try.
  I absolutely love target shooting!
  I grew up around guns, hunting, and target shooting.
  Maybe I should join a gun club some day.
