  Why do us men do all the bad stuff?

  it seams to me that through out history men have allways commited the worst crimes against humanity.. from despot rulers to serial killers and petty crime , men do the most.. yet to me it seams that on a personnal level men get on better with each other than women.. women are often very senseitive and take offence much more easily.. they can be very bitchy and manipulative.. often men will have an aurgument with a friend and the next day all will be forgotten , while a women can take years to forgive.. so what is it about mens psychology that makes them commit worse crimes than women?.

  or it there just the fact that they are physicaly stronger?.

  i wonder that if in the future , women are in positions of power more that they will act worse than men have, or if they will show more compassion for others?

  I believe it has much more to do with testostorone and chemicals in the brain than any thing else.

  Men are stronger and naturally more agressive than women because of their differences in physical makeup.Some men have too much.
  Women are usually more gentle and nurturing because of their physical makeup.
  We do see acceptions to this and it is very scary to see a woman act out so unnaturaly!

  I have learned through experience though that women can be very mean but usually in non violent ways.This is also due to hormones but in this case of the female kind.
  Women can have fluctions in their hormones that can have dramatic effects on their temprement.

  Also the chemicals and nuro transmitters in the brain of both sexes can become unbalanced causing violent and unbalanced behavior.

  I know some of you are more knowledgable than me on this so I'll leave it at this.

  How Do You Deal With Stress??

  what do you do when you're being blindsided from seemingly every direction and you're drowning in stress?

  what do you personally do to counteract it?.

  reading joelbear's latest post ("joelbear needs to calm down")reminded me of what it was like when first exiting the watchtower.

  The suggestion to remove stressers if possible is good but is not always possible.

  What I have found is that I don't function well when I am overwhelmed and I doubt anyone else does either.

  Try not to dwell about it all at once because you can't do but one or two things at a time anyway.
  Make a list and handle the most important solvable problem first and work your way down from there.
  Anything you are stressed out or worried about ask your self "Is there any thing I can do about this situation?"
  If you cannot or if it's not your problem to solve anyway push it out of your mind and only deal with the things you have power and control over.
  Also try not think in circles because it drives you crazy and makes things worse.Look for a solution or let it go.

  There is also something to be said for unplugging or escape.
  This is good as long as it is not abused causing your problems to become worse.

  Relaxing music- I like Enya when I am stressed out.
  A walk
  A day off only for yourself so you can regroup and come back more productive.
  A good stiff drink
  read a book

  Crayola Crayons...

  do you remember the excitement of a brand new box of crayola crayons?

  running your fingers over the perfectly sharp tips, none broken or peeled.

  all 96 colors like flesh (now peach), indian red (now chestnut), periwinkle, goldenrod, green blue (now retired),lemon yellow (now retired), and new colors you may not know about such as macaroni and cheese, purple mountain's majesty, granny smith apple, and pig pink.

  A Gentle Stir Or Shake 'Em Rigid?

  just lately i seem to be encountering the occasional jw partaking of a bevvy or two in my local pub.

  so, i was wondering, what would i do if a dub came in for a pint of lunch and then, after noticing me, activated his implanted shun-the-apostate chip?

  actually, i know exactly what i would do, i would tell him to eff off and use a different pub.. so it was, that on tuesday night, around about 9.

  we all seem to be extra sensitive to lies and damned lies because of being victimized by one of the biggest lairs around, the wts.. but have you ever really tested yourself to find out if you are really snow white yourself?

  Lark,
  I’m going to attempt to be serious in my down to earth simple manner now.
  I have been fooled both ways and I know I’m not the only one.
  I have given someone the benefit of the doubt and then later felt like a fool when the person turned out to be nothing but a trouble maker just muddying up the water.
  I have also made the mistake of misjudging a poster and have felt terrible for it.
  I had to make it right.

  Our past experiences tend to bleed over on to others and I don’t know how to stop this from happening.

  Is this one of the negative sides of human nature?
  I don’t know.

  I really can’t discourage people from personally and privately listening to their gut feelings but what I do discourage is labeling others publicly and trying to get a following or ganging up on someone.
  As nice as I try to be here I have been pushed over the edge a couple of times and gone against what I really believe in. you know what?It will probably happen again in the future.

  I don’t have the answers because it seems it boils down to self regulation and regulation from our peers.

  We don’t want a robotic fake atmosphere that comes with a moderated board.
  Been there done that!

  This board is wonderful, awful, raw, healing, bitter, sweet, and on and on but above all it’s
  REAL.

  There is nothing wrong with admitting when we are wrong and saying we are sorry.
  It is so cleansing and freeing to do this yet so many don’t know this experience.Yet another weakness?
  I am probably rambling now so I will close.

  Welcome to the world of journalism.

  There have been many new developments and delays due to world events such as Sept,11,war, and now it looks like another delay is going to befall the story.

  NBC will be airing the Olympics and that is the network Dateline airs on so don't be shocked if it's spring or longer if it doesn't air before the Olympics start and/or if world events don't settle down.

  This story is for real.
  Doubt if you want but it will air.

  most people are under the impression that the watchtower.

  don't break up families, well people lets give them a. few examples.

  since i left the jehovah witnesses my mother .

  I just wanted to mention that I think most of us have more family outside of the JWs than in but we are also alienated from them because they were shunned or cut off by us when we became JWs.

  We can rebuild or start new relationships with these family members but it takes time and is not always easy.
  So this contributes to the lonelyness we feel.

  It takes courage and humility to admit we were wrong and iniciate new relationships.
