  Why is my JW mother so mean to me and her grandson??

  i've been wanting to ask your advice for ages on this subject and here goes.. my mum is a jw fanatic, she just reads the bible and the publications, no other books at all.

  she is a functioning alcoholic.. she is so disappointed in me.

  i married out of the truth, you see!!!.

  Do you think you can let her know when she says something that it bothers you! Please do not say my child is naughty or poor!

  Once you let her know how you feel it will get easier.

  As far as fanatic reading that could work to your benefit. One simple question can lead to doubt.

  I would be interested in what she is reading so I could say what do you think of this paragraph. There is always a few odd paragraphs.

  You could have your own private joke. As long as you keep your own views to yourself. Let her draw her own conclusion. Do not make it a big conversation more like a hit a run.

  You could look up comments from Wt studies here :-)

  Also, let her know it is Your life and You are happy with your husband and child. It bothers you that she states.......! She made her choices and she should respect yours.

  As far as gift giving goes I do not know.

  well, it has come to another fork in the road.

  i have been going to other meetings and skipping more.

  car groups and two bros tried stopping by my house recently but i was not home or gates were locked.

  It will not matter as long as you do not have family in the org. DA family can not associate with you. DA do not want to attend meetings but if one wants it the same as Dfing you.

  Good thing for gates! Now the time to have your voice mail on.

  Elders not going to do anything. Hopefully he will ignore you. Best not to say it again.

  Nugget it was the right thing to do as far as confidentiality! You gained my respect. Your husband probably shared confident with other elders. Some elders wives do not understand this. Elders get the wanting to help a dfd one so they go to the orginal elders to find out the facts! Goes against the rules. That how rumors spread because orginal elder do not keep it private.

  Considering I was the kind to go back for family,I had a horrific elders meeting that lasted over fifteen years. It became a you have to reinstate me! Not!

  Anyhow, I was bitter and when I did my research and joined this forum I realized that it was a waste of time! I did get reinstated but not by those elders. They are all dead now so it is in Jesus hands.

  It does not say covet your neighbors wives.

  Your right none of those scripture referred to having more than one spouse wrong. Not even close,but that is how the WT writes their articles. They show a scripture on fornication(single) with a husband then jump to polygamy as wrong! Whereas the scripture had nothing to do with multiple wives but an act out side the marriage bed, such as a husband having an afair with a none married person caught in the act of fornication.

  And that not the only subject they messed up!

  But Jesus did speak about how it was in the beginning a man leaves his parents a clings to his " wife" not wives. Goes on to explain about ztiff neck people. But the WT never brought that point out so it is jumping subject around. They do not expect you to question anything!

  Deacons or elder with one wife compared to others who had multiple wives! :-)

  I even think that Jesus spoke and fed crowds who had multiple wives. Five thousand men were fed but how many wives and their children. In those days they had big families.

  Well anyhow I am not for polygamy but I wondered about that issue. If a man had five wives and committed fornication then five wives would have grounds for divorcement. Apparently it would not go well with his "wives." Scripture only has wife and not wives.

  Still your point is reasonable.

  so this is the ultimate dilemma.

  my wife and i are on the same page.

  do we fade, in which all our friends, and i stress friends call us and feel sick and hurt and hurt and we feel guilty; or do we da so we tell the wt what we see as wrong as what we see that lead us to believe its a false religion; or do we df and let me or my wife let them catch us at some wrong doing and stop going to meetigs..... .

  Fading is wrong they would bug the hell out of us!

  Let her do whatvthe he she wants!

  What do you want to do? Maybe you should consider two different options.

  Living a double life sucks! Pretending to be something your not just makes you look untrust worthy.

  So it something no one can say.

  I can tell you fading is so much more easier than getting dfd or da. But hey she smokes so it is just a matter of time for her.

  She so brain gone!

  Read the Make Sure under Abortion. They have a clause under certain circumstances life or death of the the mother. Just saying most JW do not read their Make Sures or what ever book it is now. Now, compare it to people who do not believe in abortion there is no clause!

  She qoutes from old WT so she has a set concept how the study should go. You did a good job but it went over her head.

  The new light conversation is so wrong!

  Personally it is sad that you have to do this to get back in your families favor.

  She is the type that will walk out when something goes wrong! Preach and change over night!

  She ure was wrong about dfd ones. They do not make a choice and are treated harshly.

  Nothing about assemblies were fun! I do not think all the effort and hype was worth it.

  California was fun place! But the assemblies were not.

  Nothwest has great camping and fishing.

  Funny, some of us were at the same assemblies.

  this is a song by lauren hill she had family ties to the jw cult, so it is very touching and moving, she even gets choked up in the middle of the song.

  i like to share this song with new ones or old ones and those who have heard it before every now and again, it so refreshing and hopefull!
