If he decides to 'sack' you he'll feel good. Don't give him the opportunity. Tell him you are sacking him and not paying him because you were not satisfied. Trust me, that will p*ss him off good and proper. Ya can't reason with these people.

Sack him and don't pay for the clean. There's nothing he can do.
And i'm a window cleaner!

Donations - how much is normal?
by Frazzled UBM inhow much would a well-off witness be expected to donate?
my wife has just withdrawn a few hundred pounds from her account and refuses to tell me why so i suspect she plans to donate it as she hasn't donated for a while because she knows i don't want our money going to the organisation.
is it likely that she is feeling under pressure to make a large donation?.

I wish the WT would have new light and decree that tithing is scriptural and obligatory. They'd leave in droves.

I enjoyed Mongol.
Not sure Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is 'unheard of' but I enjoyed the Swedish Trilogy, although the 'Hollywood version' is very good and actually closer to the book.
In Bruges is a classic surely :-)

I get what Minimus is saying, but to set out with one objective and achieve another which is still worthwhile is not a total failure.
I don't think the WT will be reformed on its' blood policy by pressure, either from outside or within. I think it will take a tragedy which hits them hard in the pocket and threatens to trigger a raft of lawsuits to make them change.
I have long believed that Hospital Liason Committees were set up NOT to ensure that JW's firmly refused blood in all its forms, but to ensure that JWs ACCEPTED blood products that they would normally have refused if they firmly and faithfully adhered to the WT interpretation on blood. All along it has been a two faced, damage limitation exercise which has saved lives as a by product of saving face and protecting the WT's image and reputation. That said the AJWRB website opened my eyes too and was a big piece in my own journey out.

I have long said that if I ever won the lottery I will be sending the JW members of my family who ignore me, a cheque for a tempting amount of money with a note that says:
"I won this money in the lottery, which is gambling. I know you don't gamble and wouldn't want any money gained in a way God disaproves of, but I wondered if you are as hypocritical and inconsistent on this principle as you are on everything else"
