Do Other Sheep have Eternal Life Now?
by Vanderhoven7 inone of the benefits of justification is eternal life for believers.
i found an interesting passage from the wt, june 15, 1974 which reads:.
"it is to the spirit anointed christians who will rule in that kingdom that most of the christian-greek scriptures is directed, including the promise of everlasting life.

Lost in the fog,
My father was a firm believer in that but I think many JWs do not truly understand that and the JW mags frekvently apply new testament teachings to the lifes of the great crowd people. I remember many years ago my parents and I participated in a JW gathering in a private home where my father was nearly thrown out for taking the teaching that the new testament was written to the 144,000 to the logical extreme. The doctrinal development makes it extra sad; in the Russell's day most were "running for the high calling". It makes me sad remembering my father searching the old testament for his salvation feeeling excluded from the new testament

It has always intrigued me that JW does not use tithing as do many other sects. Yet JW clearly has some other means to cash in. -

What’s up with the modern Nation of Israel?
by DATA-DOG inbeing raised a dub i never voted.
i’m not a republican or a democrat, not a liberal or a conservative.. i’m pretty middle of the road.
i want everyone to have a fair shake if possible in this life, but i definitely don’t believe in forced equality, that’s just not possible.

Earnest, no doubt Israel has done bad stuff. I have no doubt some Palestine kids are the absolutely worst stone throwing bully kids you can find on earth, but nothing justifies killing and torturing them.

Why Jehovah`s Witnesses are wrong emphasising the name Jehovah.
by smiddy3 inhi friends, feel free to correct me where i`m wrong with this post.after all it`s just my observation of jw`s and the bible.. in the beginning of gods dealings with adam it was on a personal level , god to man so to speak.. god then dealt with humans via the patriarchs , then with the levi priesthood ,then judges ,( and a woman was a judge ) then kings ,somewhere in between all of this prophets played a major part ,and then came jesus christ the messiah.. and to my knowledge god has not validated a successor to him with any evidence i`ve seen .. jehovah`s witnesses claim to be christians but have with no new testament backing usurped jesus with jehovah.. this period of time ,until god says otherwise ,christians are to give honour and glory to none other than jesus christ .. that is the name that is above any other name until god says otherwise.
phil.2:9-11. not the name jehovah .the bible never says anything about a kingdom of jehovah ,the coming kingdom is the kingdom of jesus christ with his associate 144,000 earthly subjects.. this is just my understanding of what the bible actually says .. whether i believe it or not is another matter..

Phil 2:5-11 really tells the story that the JWs miss; Jehovah humbled himself as man

California passes bill lessening penalty for pedophiles having sex with willing kids.
by mickbobcat ini was wondering about this.
if california or other far left groups in charge would push for making pedophiles quote normal unquote.
so it passed but has yet to be signed by newsom.

The US is much rougher on child abuse than western Europe. The enemies of western civilisation clearly want to change that, both liberal democrats and muslims

I remember back in the day when I tried to get the Bible to agree with Russellism, it was very important what a handful of isolated verses were saying, especially in some less used translation or using the concordance to find some meaning hidden in the popular translations. I try to go with the general flow of what Bible scriptures say and not go too much into speculations 🤭. When it comes to John 1:1, notable scholars have supported that that the Word was divine or a God depending on your interpretation of that incarnate creative uttering. But a god seems to miss any reasonable interpretation of what the Word was in John's day ☺️
