@Rattigan350
Where can I find in my Bibles that "Jesus prophesied that Russell would study and start a new group of preachers and teachers"? And where can I find that that group could do that independent study but no one else could?
....but not for jw's!.
w70 4/15 p. 250 -"in 1870 charles taze russell...was not satisfied with the sectarian [jw's are sectarian] explanations of the bible given him, so he started a bible-study class with several of his friends....".
km 9/07 p. 3 question box - "does “the faithful and discreet slave” endorse independent groups of witnesses who meet together to engage in scriptural research or debate?

whenever you think of your time in the organisation you'll remember all of the books.
every year at a convention, new books brought out.
shelves at home groaning under the weight of multicoloured covered wts books!
That's why they "don't publish books anymore". Now it's all about the nice app, eBooks and great films!!! 😉😜😝
how many jw's are aware they have "priests?".
w02 5/1 p. 16 par.
9 jehovah hates the course of treachery - "comparably, for more than a century now, the anointed brothers of christ, those with the heavenly hope, have served as “a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to god.”.
Of course they are Kings! And we their slaves. Well, not anymore!!!
why do you think many jws are hostile and rude?
or is that just my imagination?.
mark jones writes: the vast majority of jehovah’s witnesses are nice people.
@BB
If they don't see us as human beings deserving respect, they don't follow Jesus example and have no education. Not even Satan did Jesus treat with rudeness!!!
Most of them think more of themselves then Jesus did of himself and couldn't care less for their neighbour.
Most of them simply wear a nice friendly mask. And the higher they climb, the more they "do" and the less human they are; the less they truly care!

If they shun their own blood because some old guys tell them to, they can do everything and feel great about it!
there are certain wt terms that sound biblical but really just puff up the pride.
hundreds of times the wt has used the term honest-hearted in their literature.
it sounds biblical, if for no other reason because we hear it so often in jw circles.
They know what they are doing; they are very skilled salespeople... They sell stupid and dangerous ideas.
the wt calls itself christian while at the same time insisting that its witnesses don't mix with other christian groups but remain separate.. to be no part of the world.. i was mulling this over recently in my personal bible reading.
in the first century that demarcation would have made sense because apart from your fellow worshippers the rest of mankind were going to be jewish, roman, polytheistic, pagan, or (i guess much like today) didn't really care.. christians had no worries about meeting up with other people who believed in jesus the same as they did even if there were minor differences depending on who had first taught the gospel message to them.
but nowadays there's not just one christian group against the world, there's lots of "christians" out there.
@BM
Thank you very much!

@Phizzy
That's a very good one! Thanks for pointing it out!
Can you, please, tell us where we can find that account?
Welcome Puppylove!
jehovah's witnesses basically define the term "apostate" as someone who was once a member of the "organization" (a jehovah's witness) but no longer follows the teachings, rules, regulations and practices.
the society gives their official definition in the following manner: "apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of god, actually a rebellion against jehovah god.
some apostates profess to know and serve god but reject teachings or requirements set out in his word.
because for example in the Hebrew Scriptures the original term that the WT translates as "apostate" literally means godless
They do that on purpose. They should call us "heretics" but, instead, they distort the meaning of "apostate" and call us that to avoid having to explain the JWs with which of their many lies we don't agree!
