Although I am an atheist I do see how religion kept people in line a bit morally. Not everyone needs a religion to be a good person but some do. A set of good principals helps with development. No not cult rule but good basic moral compass. Today I see so many who have no moral compass at all. They think they do but there is a void. How much do Elders actually get along with each other?
by Davros ini was reading in the shepherding book that elders should “ cultivate and maintain friendships with one another.”, and thought to myself “bulls$it!” i remember that most of the elders in my old congregation were nothing but nasty asses.
i know it may vary from congregation to congregation, but do elders generally get along with each other behind closed doors in elders meetings?
or, are they often in conflict with each other?

socialism is an arbitrary word. The US and many countries are capitalist with a social safety net. That is a system that can work if you don't have idiots like the Democraps who want open boarders and let in all the poor and make the USA a battered shelter of the world. That will collapse the system fast. Socialism taken to its extreme forum is communism and has failed every time its tried. Cuba is only running because it was propped up by Russia and now some by China. China only is working because its embraced capitalism as its economic base, but keeps its people under strict communistic rule. If you read the history of the first settlers of the American Continent from Europe, you find that they tried this socialism and it was failing and would end up in death and disaster. So they employed each person having a plot of land and do with it what you will and you keep what you earn or work for. Trade your surplus for other things you don't have. It worked. Communism and socialism are tried again and again and failed again and again.
